Kim here from @CardmakingBlonde. Today I am sharing a scene card that was made using SFL’s “Winter Fairies” stamp set AND “Fairy House” stamp set. For this card I started by stamping the string lights then decided what other elements worked best and the scene pretty much built itself. You may notice that beside the house is only one tree and that was intentional because space was certainly needed between the tree and the fairy.
The sky in the background is a blend of Copic Markers. Since the string lights were “on” I really wanted a dusk or early evening sky which also turned out to be a wintry sky as well so that was a nice unexpected bonus. If you look closely the paper trimming the scene is from SFL’s “Winter in Pink” paper pad. The fairy is colored in delicate pinks to go with that paper and it wasn’t until I went to adhere it all that I realized my scene just didn’t leave much space for the patterned paper but the snowflakes made a nice mat for it.
Thanks so much for stopping in today, I hope you are inspired to get crafty!
Teresa here today sharing with some inspiration in case you missed it on Saturday. We revealed our first two Create-a-Dex dies. These dies were designed by Stacy Tiedemann (our design team co-ordinator). We are so thrilled that so many of our customers ordered these new dies.
We wanted to bring this extra inspiration and the links to these products cause they are going quickly.
Hello Die is a great one and the word “hello” is Stacy’s own handwriting. Barn Die is going fast as well!
All of the inspiration came from the lives that both Stacy and I did on our lives over on YouTube on Saturday.

Hi Everyone! I’m here with a card from the January 2020 Release “Winter Fairies” I also used the “Winter In Pink” 6X6 Paper Pad, the release included “Fairy House” as well! I loved these sweet fairies especially the one sleeping on the moon!
Hi Everyone! Luci here with a few Super Simple No Die Shutter Cards using the Brand New Release from SFL the “Winter in Pink” paper pad, the stamp sets “Winter Fairies” and “Winter Fairy House“! How adorable are these sets!
Be sure to check out the process video for step by step instructions HERE!
I used Copic markers for the Fairy on the inside of the card and Prismacolor pencils for the two fairies on the outside of the card.
How adorable is this sleepy fairy?!?! Today I made an interactive card using items from the SFL Release. The fairy is on an action wobbler!
This card was so much fun to make and I think this fairy is super sweet. I stamped out 2 images from the Winter Fairies stamp set and colored them in with Copic markers. I trimmed down 2 pieces of pattern paper from the Winter in Pink paper pad and used a stitched scallop basic edge die on the star paper. I then stamped the sentiment from the Fairy House stamp set and used a little Spun Sugar distress ink along the edge.

Hi crafty friends! Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde with a fairy fun shaker card to show off SFL’s new release! (Sorry I couldn’t help myself.) Shaker cards are fun, versatile and add a little something out of your ordinary everyday card. Over the years I have watched many videos of how to make them, different methods and tricks. Every time I sit down to make a shaker card I feel like I’m learning for the first time. I will say this card might be the one I had the least amount of trouble with but please note the trouble is mine not in the technique itself. It’s actually a very simple process I just struggle with it for some strange reason. I have to take each step slowly so that I don’t glue the wrong pieces together. I was so happy with the way it turned out!
Here’s a quick run down of what I did:
stamped sentiment on the clear acetate sheet (after hitting it with an Embossing Magic Pad so the embossing powder wouldn’t cling where I didn’t want it to) with VersaFine black onyx ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder
the image from Winter Fairies by SFLwas stamped with Memento black ink then was colored with Prismacolor pencils & maybe Derwent inktense pencils (I keep them in the same case and when I’m coloring I am usually just looking for the right color not which brand)
fussy cutted out the image and then went around the edges with a Memento marker in black ink (gives it a finished look even if your edges are a little rough)
the sequins are from my stash and went perfectly with the paper I was using from the Winter in Pink 6×6 paper pad from SFL
used Couture Creations 3D Foam Strips-white to create the shaker space (these worked like a dream! and I credit them for making the process much smoother for me this go round)
used a scallop circle frame die to create the shaker window
Above I’ve included the links on the pics for the individual products or you can click the pic below where I’ve included the link to get the bundle.
Thank you so much for stopping in today and checking out the blog! Take some time and look around the other design team members have done some really great work with this release. No such thing as too much inspiration right?
Hello Everyone! Let’s just start by saying “YAY, A SFL Release”!! Today I am making a birthday card using the Winter Fairies 4×6 stamp set and pattern paper from the “Winter in Pink” 6×6 paper pad.
I first started by making my background. I stamped out the fairy image and snowflake stamp all over the rectangle card stock. I decided to color those images using the cool gray Copic Markers (C1, C3 and C5).
I also stamped the image and used a variety of Copics to color the wings, hair and skin. I also decided her dress needed some solid parts so I use Copic markers on the neck and middle of the dress. I paper pieced her dress using the pink snowflake paper from the Winter in Pink pattern paper. I adhered the pattern paper with liquid glue.
While the glue dries on my fairy, I trimmed a piece of vellum with an oval die. Basically at this point my card is ready to put together and add some finishing details. I added “White Blizzard” Nuvo drops on the rim of her hat and Enchanting Pink Glitter Nuvo drops to the left on the vellum.
On the inside, I just stamped the image with London Fog Memento Ink and added the sentiment from the stamp set “Happy Birthday”
This release is So Exciting for SFL – right now you can get all 3 items in a bundle CLICK HERE for more information.
