Hello and Happy Thursday!!!
Kim from Cardmaking Blonde celebrating the end of Summer with a card featuring paper pad “Cool Treats” from SFL. The little bunny floating in the water on his watermelon floatie is from the “Hello Sunshine” stamp set from Paperie Ink.
Image is stamped in Amalgam ink from Gina K. then colored with Copic markers. Since the floatie is a watermelon I chose to use the watermelon and coordinating papers which was then run through a die cutting machine with a stitched rectangle die. Used a stitched flag die on the watermelon paper because I wanted the watermelon paper to be prominently featured. Cut the water piece of paper out with a 2.5 inch circle and nested it in a larger circle. The bigger circle actually has a double stitch but only one is showing which ended up working perfectly considering the other dies I used are single stitched. To finish it up I added glossy accents to the watermelon seeds.
Thanks for stopping in to check out the blog today. I hope you are at least a bit excited to head into this Labor day weekend!
Just keep creating,
Hello my crafty friends!
Kim from Cardmaking Blonde coming to you today with one of the cutest little sunbathers I’ve ever seen! SFL’s newest release is Summer Floaties! This release has a stamp set and paper pad and they go perfectly together. Of course they can be used separately but why would you want to?
While making this card I chose the watermelon paper because the little cutie is holding a slice of watermelon. The pool water you see is also from the paper pad and I used a pool die to cut out the shape. To create the border around the pool I used Nuvo Glitter Drops. The little cutie on her flamingo floatie is colored with Copic markers. She’s stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink so her features would be a bit softer. Heat embossed the sentiment with white detail embossing powder after prepping with some powder and using VersaMark.
This release is in limited supply so grab yours before they’re gone! Thank you so much for checking out the blog today and I hope you are in the middle of making a great Summer for you and your loved ones.
Just keep creating,
Hi, it’s Stacy from Craftaholicmomma up today on the Scrapping for Less blog with a MemoryDex Card using Collection 1 of the newly released June Flavor of the Month Card Kit called A Walk in the Park.
I used a two cut files from Cricut to make the card. One was the basic card shape that I welded with a watermelon shape.
I recently got interested in making these cute little works of art. I also joined a swap group on Facebook and this little card is for that swap.
I packaged it up really cute and threw in a couple of Lifesaver Candies. I hope my partner loves it.
Unfortunately the June Flavor of the Month Card Kit has sold out. For those of you who have a FOTM subscription I hope my project inspires you.
Thanks for visiting,
