    • Autumn Blessings featuring Sweater Weather by Paper Sweeties

Happy Monday! It didn’t feel like fall this past weekend with temperatures here in Vermont reaching 70 degrees – just a few days before we had SNOW! However, Autumn is in full swing and November is the month to remember our Blessings!

Today’s card features the “Sweater Weather” stamp set from Paper Sweeties and the “Autumn Blessings” die from SFL. I die cut gold glitter paper using the Autumn Blessings die and adhered it to orange card stock that was from the same paper I cut the card base from. I added a large and medium enamel dot to both sides of the sentiment. I then stamped the coffee cup image from the Sweater Weather stamp set and die cut it using a mod rectangle die. I colored that in with Copic markers and added the 3 small images from the stamp set all around. I finished that pieces with Spiced Marmalade distress ink around the edges.

If you’re interested in the Sweater Weather Stamp Set or the Autumn Blessings die, jump over to the SFL Store !

      Have a great week!

    • Autumn Blessings & Sweater Weather ~ Cute Fall Cards

Hello there crafty friend! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with a sweet Fall card using one of my favorite Scrapping for Less dies… the Autumn Blessings die, along with a cute coffee stamp that I just adore that’s from the Sweater Weather stamp set by Paper Sweeties! Shall we have a look?
I just happened to have a few pieces of the gorgeous Cozy Fall papers left over and they were absolutely perfect for this card design. I love sweaters! I’m a sweater loving, Fall loving kinda gal and the beautiful designs in these papers just make my heart happy!
And since I was already planning on making a couple more Fall cards to send out, it just made sense to use my favorite Autumn Blessings die! This die does take a bit of patience as there’s four separate pieces (not including the dot for the ‘i’), but once you have it all adhered together it is SO worth it!!
This was the first card I made while planning out my design. I love love love that floral piece behind the focal piece. The rich reds and greens on the black background is just stunning. I pulled my color palette for the cards from the papers and I think they turned out really pretty!
I used the following Copic Markers for these cards:
      Leaves ~ YG03, YG63
      Berries ~ R000, R37
      Flowers ~ YR14, YR15, YR21, YR24
      Mug ~ E41, E43
      Grounding ~ N0, N1
Here’s the two cards together. You can check out my process video for my card… here!

Surprise! I have a bonus card to share! I also had these scraps left over from my Cozy Fall paper pack and whipped up a quick card using a sentiment from the Sweater Weather stamp set along with a “Happy” die from my stash. And to finish it off I stamped the heart, also from the Sweater Weather set, a few times… even stamping off once to get a lighter heart. I used Chipped Sapphire distress ink for this little bit of stamping. Go check out these fabulous Fall products in the SFL shop!!
That’s it for me this time! Thanks so much for stopping by!
      See ya next time.
      Inky Hugs,
      Crystal

Hi all! I hope you are finding yourself easing into a wonderful weekend. I am up today with a couple of cards I made with September’s Flavor of the Month Kit. I was so excited to get my hands on this kit and I had to MAKE myself step away from it because you know, life.

As soon as I opened my kit I dug into the Frightful Collection. I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I wish it was a tradition to send Halloween cards to friends and family like it is to send Christmas cards because Halloween cards are so much fun to make. This card came together so quickly with the cute little die cut characters included in the collection. I had such a hard time choosing which one to use, then I had a group and then I let the sketch dictate who made it on the card. For the card below I used the Paper Play Sketches #52.

The next card is from the Cozy Fall Collection. I pulled the paper out and looked it over and immediately I wanted to paper piece that sweater stamp…and then I realized that wasn’t going to work because it is a stamp stamp. Then I thought..ooh yes I can so I traced the stamp and paper pieced it anyway. I love it when what you see in your head works out! Sketch #194 from Operation Write Home was the one used for the card below.     Often when card making I find myself always reaching for the same ink to stamp a sentiment but this time I reached for blue ink and I knew it had been too long since I had changed things up because of the level of excitement I felt at using another color. sflblogpost10052019b

I am looking forward to digging into the other two collections which I’ll post those cards on my instagram account at @cardmakingblonde. Below will be the links to the Double Dip and Banana Split kits which are down into the single digits so get one while you can!

Thanks so much for stopping in and checking out September’s Flavor of the Month Kit “Fall is Coming!” and have a great weekend!
