Hi Everyone! Luci here from My Crazy Craft Life with a card using the Waffle Flower Cold Hands Stamp Set and Sticky Back Glitter Paper in Silver from Darice.
Be sure to check out the video HERE!
To create this card I started with an A2 size cardbase or 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches. I used Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. I stamped the images I wanted to use with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with copic markers. I used my Scan N Cut to cut the images out.
I cut the glitter paper for the front panel to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches and cut out a 3 1/4 inch circle towards the top center of the card and then cut out another circle from white card stock with a 3 1/2 inch die.
I used a cloud stencil, Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks to create the background sky on the 3 1/2 inch circle. I left the bottom of the circle white. Then I used one of the tree stamps and stamped a few trees with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink.
I adhered all of the tree images to the 3 1/2 inch circle panel and popped the mouse images up with some foam dots. I adhered the 3 1/2 inch circle to the top of the card base and then adhered the glitter paper to the card base lining up the circles. I stamped the sentient “Cold Hands” from Hero Arts Ink in Moss on a white strip of card stock. I cut the banner down to 4 1/4 X 3/4 inches and adhered it towards the bottom of the card with some foam tape.
To finish it off I stamped on the inside of the card the sentiment “Warm Heart”, as well as, the image of the mittens with the string of them creating a heart. I colored in the mittens with copic markers.

It’s almost time!!! All week we over here at Scrapping For Less we have been getting wild with the Flavor of the Month card kit for August. I am so excited to see what everyone else has created and to see how all of you respond to this month’s kit!
For the sneak peek I grabbed some ingredients from collection four and one of the stamps from that same collection. Added my favorite sentiment from the Banana Split Stamp set and the whole card came together.
I colored the image in with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers, (I wish I could get the sparkle to show up in the pics as nicely as it does in real life!) except for the yellow color I used my Wink of Stella.
As I was finishing up with glueing everything down with Lawn Fawn’s glue tube I realized that I had glued the entire card upside down. Gah! I kind of laughed at myself and then began to work on fixing it so I just trimmed off the edges and then glued the card front down to a new card correctly this time!
The big reveal with be this coming Saturday, at 12:00 am EST. If you’re interested in making sure one of these gorgeous kits has your name on be sure to sign up for a subscription (plus saves you even more $$) prior to 10:00 pm EST Friday night.
Use the hashtag #sflFOTMexoticanimals on your social media using this card kit and we will select one lucky winner to feature their project on Scrapping for Less’ social media.

Hi everyone! Kim here with a cute koala doodle-pop from Doodlebug Designs and a confession…I have a habit of hoarding my doodle-pops! I know, I know they are meant to be used but I sure do love looking through them and sometimes find it hard to use them up. That being said they really do make the cutest addition to cards.
I started off wanting to create some background paper with the koala stamps from the Hero Arts stamp set Realistic Animals. Using Gina K. Designs Amalgam ink in whisper I stamped the images all over the paper. It looked amazing at first and then once it dried I found that it was super hard to see which completely defeated the purpose. I didn’t want to completely lose the sheet so I decided to use it to frame the koala.
I had some paper in my stash that was covered in leaves and I thought it would be perfect for using as a background. While trimming the paper down the leaves seemed to lend themselves perfectly to being cut out and a few of them popped up with some pop dot pieces. Some cards you may spend quite some time coloring an image or spend some time doing an ink technique or playing with embossing paste but so often when I am using a doodle-pop as a main focus the card comes together so quickly that I find myself looking it over extra long to see what I missed.
QUICK TIP: WHEN USING POP DOTS BE SURE TO USE PARTS OF THE PANEL LEFT BEHIND AFTER USING THE DOTS. THEY CAN BE CUT UP AND USED FOR WHATEVER SIZE YOU MAY NEED!
Also the sentiment that was used on this card came from the Hero Arts stamp set Realistic Animals. I love this little koala’s face so sweet!
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you find some time for yourself today.
Keep on crafting,
Kim 🙂
Hello crafty friends!
Newton’s Nook has been a favorite company of mine for years now and I am super excited to get to play with one of their stamps! Company of Cats is such a cute and clever image and I had a blast coloring all the different kitties. This stamp set could not have come into my life at a more perfect time because just a few weeks ago my husband and I adopted a kitten. Ember weighed less than three pounds when we brought her home and she is growing like wild fire!
We are both just smitten with her! She is sweet and loves to be loved and it has been so much fun to watch her play and explore as she grows. Our dog on the other hand is a little afraid of her still and tries to pretend she doesn’t exist but as I said it’s only been a few weeks so hopefully they will become friends eventually. Now back to the card…
Here’s a quick run down of what I did while creating this card:
I had so much fun coloring this stamp and thinking of all the different cats out there in the world. I will admit though Ember is my favorite cat in the world but I am a little biased.
Thanks so much for stopping today and spending a little time with me. I hope you have an amazing day and take the chance to create something today!
Keep on Crafting!
Kim 🙂
Hello Everyone!
I hope this post finds you grabbing a little time yourself today. Once I got my hot little hands on this card kit I immediately went for the fox! She is so sweet and pretty and is smiling like that hot cup of deliciousness (for me it is always coffee) is truly warming her up. I am looking forward to seeing the cards that will be created from this month’s Flavor of the Month card kit!
Without further adieu here it is:
I stamped the image with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink since I knew I would be coloring it with my Copic Markers and that ink is formulated to work with alcohol markers. I colored the image and then added some Nuvo Glitter Drop to the coffee mug but the sparkle just isn’t showing up in the picture here but I am definitely digging the glossiness. The wood background paper with the little snowmen is so cute I had a really hard time covering any of it up even though I wanted it to be my background. Last but not least I added the little rosette fans with the buttons and thought they were such a fun and different embellishment. They are new to me and now I am itching to get my hands on some more!
Thank you so much for checking out this sneak peek, it was so much fun and I hope you enjoy getting to see a glimpse of what’s to come. I know this time of year is a busy season so hang in there a bit longer and make those great memories and then you can sit down with your favorite beverage, take some time for yourself and dig into this month’s sweet little card kit!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
