Hi, It’s Stacy from Craftaholicmomma up on the Scrapping for Less blog today with a super cute card featuring a Newton’s Nook stamp set called “Bird Bath”. It has been very gloomy and rainy for the past two days here in Minnesota. I thought this cheerful spring card would help brighten up these dreary fall days.
I stamped the images with my Copic friendly MFT Extreme Black ink cube. I then colored the images with my Copic markers and cut it out using my Brother Scan n Cut. I took two of the MFT Stitched A2 Rectangle dies and cut out a frame to adhere onto my card over a panel of Doodlebug Designs Blue Jean Sprinkles Vellum. I love working with this vellum as it has just the right amount of glossy embossing to it. I used my Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders die to cut two strips of green pattern paper from the Doodlebug Designs “Spring Things” 6x6 paper pad. This paper pad is my all time favorite collection from Doodlebug. (oh, ok, to be honest it’s a strong tie between Spring Things and Polar Pals). I stamped the sentiment in the lower righthand corner in VersaFine Black Onyx ink. To finish off the card I went over the birds and butterflies with my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Brush Pens. Using Ranger’s Glossy Accents on the water in the bird bath helps make the water look realistically like water.
Thanks for visiting,
