    • Sneak Peek Week Continues!

      Hello crafty friends!

Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde, I am so glad you could stop in for a quick peek at what is in store for this month’s Flavor of the Month card kit. The papers create a perfect starry night and this little snowman looks like he’s definitely making a wish.

After stamping the image out in Gina K. black amalgam ink I colored it in with Copic markers doing my best to create a night sky. I colored over the stars in the image because I knew I wanted to use the stars from the sequin collection I received in the collection to place where the stamped stars are. Finished the card off with one of the sentiments from the stamp set stamping it in VersaFine majestic blue ink.

I am so looking forward to seeing the rest of the cards/projects that the design team comes up with using this month’s card kit! Make sure to join us this weekend for the full hop and thanks again for stopping in.

      Keep on creating,

      Kim 🙂

    • Sneak Peek! October 2020 Flavor of the Month Card Kit

      Oct 26th

Happy Monday everyone! Today I’m sharing with you ingredients from Collection 1 in the October 2020 Flavor of the Month Card Kit! I’ve stamped out one of the images from the stamp set and colored with Copic Markers. I die cut that with a circle die and cut a mat from red card stock with a mini scallop circle die.
This piece of pattern paper from Collection 1, I needed to cut in half in order to to get the birdhouses fully on the card. I used some ribbon from the collection to hide where the 2 pieces meet. I stamped the “Happy Holidays” sentiment from the stamp set with Versamark ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set it. I trimmed that with my paper trimmer and scissors. The sentiment was then added to the card with foam adhesive.
I finished the card by adding some Spectrum Noir Glitter brush to the cardinal and scattered on a few enamel dots from the collection.

Stay tuned all week for more Sneak Peeks and the full reveal is 12:00am on Saturday, October 31, 2020.

      Hi All!

Oh my goodness are you in for a treat!

May’s Flavor of the Month card kit is just beautiful. From the paper to the extras in the Banana Split card kit so many items perfect for creating encouragement cards. I chose to feature the Weather Together collection because I LOVE rainbows! The paper speaks to my childhood memories and the sentiments are just what I am wanting to say to my friends and family at this time.

Starting out with Bristol Smooth cardstock and using Distress Oxide Inks in Weathered Wood & Stormy Sky to create the clouds with the stencil included in May’s Banana Split card kit. I created the image in the center of the card in the following order. (I have to talk myself through this every time I do it.) Because I wanted the cloud to show completely it was stamped first, then masked off, next the rainbow was stamped then masked off. The last step was to stamp the sun. Using Zig Clean Color Markers I colored in all the images. I then almost ruined this one layer card by deciding to add Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker and forgetting that the Zig markers are activated by water. Thankfully I realized it early on and avoiding some strong language in the craft room, ha ha ha! The sentiment was embossed with Navy embossing powder. Cut out the main scene with a stitched rectangle die and placed on a card front size patterned paper from the Weather Together patterned paper.

We have one more sneak peek before the release of the entire card kit so don’t miss out and if you want to ensure getting your hands on May’s Flavor of the card kit sign up here for a subscription. (Last month’s kits sold out.) Thanks so much for visiting us today on the blog. We look forward to seeing you for the hop this weekend. The blog hop goes live Saturday, May 30th at Midnight EST.

      Keep on crafting,

      Kim 🙂

It’s Sneak Peek Week!! I’m super excited to share this card with you. I love how bright the pattern paper is and this is the sweetest Big Foot! I stamped out the image with Copic friendly ink and colored with warm gray markers. I added lots of sparkle with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. I used the Lemon Drop card stock for my card base and the mat my pattern paper so they wouldn’t blend together.

I chose to decorate the inside by adding a strip of pattern paper, the sentiment and stamped the image again with Memento London Fog Ink.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks this week and the full reveal will be Saturday, May 30 at 12:00am!

    • Sneak Peek!! April Flavor of the Month Card Kit – City Streets and Country Roads

It’s Sneak Peek Week!! How cute is this travel paper and this adorable girl on the scooter? This is a peek from Collection 2.

For this card I chose 2 pattern papers. The more colorful one I used as the main panel. I cut that with a stitched rectangle die. In the lower right hand corner I added another pattern paper which I cut with a mini scallop stitched circle die and trimmed off the excess.

When I started to put the card together, I realized the second pattern paper needed a mat to separate it from the more colorful piece. I grabbed black card stock for a mat and used my scissors to carefully follow the circle.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set found in collection 2 and stamped that on a stitched fishtail sentiment strip I had in my stash. I used a little Barn Door Distress Ink around the top, bottom and right side.

To finish the card, I added 3 small enamel dots from the card kit and a little Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush on the scooter.

Stay tuned all week for more sneak peeks and stay up late Friday for the full reveal at 12:00am Saturday, April 26.
