Hey everybody! If you enjoy making Christmas cards then it’s never too early to get a start and if you enjoy sending a lot of Christmas cards then the earlier you start the less stressed you’ll be. This Sloth Christmas stamp by Stampendous is all about taking it easy through the holiday season. So here’s a run down of my card with this cute little sloth:
patterned paper from Carta Bella’s Christmas collection
stamped in memento ink Rich Cocoa
colored with Copic markers as follows: For the sloth’s body E79, E59, E29, E34 (also used E34 for his face and nose.) Hat R24, R29. String of lights R46, R24, Y13, Y15, YR04, YR18, G09, G05, B21, B29, BG99 for tops of lights. Leaves YG23, YG13
the sentiment is stamped in versa mark ink and then used Wow! Embossing powder in black fine detail and hit it with a heat gun
The circle that slot figure and leaves are adhered to is a 3″ circle and the fishtailed flag is 2.5″x 4″
filled in the white parts of the hat with Stickles Frosted Lace
added glossy accents to the Christmas lights and his little nose
So that’s this week’s card with Christmas Sloth by Stampendous. Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing what we have in store for you. Don’t forget about the big sale going on now while Teresa is off visiting her sweet Grandbabies! Have a great weekend and I hope you get to do something fun!
It’s Kim again. I am here today with some super cute critters from Avery Elle. I don’t fussy cut too often but when I do I really go for it! ( I had little hands and heads all over my desk.) I stamped everyone in Gina K Designs amalgam black ink then colored them using my copics. I realize as I am telling you all about this that I didn’t think to make note of the colors I used (forehead slap). Sorry about that I will do my best to get that down in the future. (This is how we learn, right?)
QUICK TIP: When placing multiple items on a card it can be useful to lay all the elements out the way you want them before glueing anything down and ALSO taking a quick pic once you get it all how you want it so you don’t have to try to remember what you just did. (Learn from me people!)
I wanted them all to be peeking out of something so I used an Avery Elle die I had in my stash that put a hole in the center for me. Used paper from Bo Bunny’s Natural Necessities paper pad and got everything adhered down with some liquid glue. Dotted their eyes and the koala’s nose with a black glaze pen to make them shiny. So excited to use Scrapping For Less’ “hooray” die at the bottom of the card as a big sentiment! Then stamped the “Let’s Party” which came in the Avery Elle Peek-A-Boo Pals stamp set in Versafine black onyx ink. This stamp set was a lot of fun and I really liked having their little paws to place separately.
Thank you so much for stopping in and checking out this card! I hope you take some time for yourself and get crafty.
