    • Thank You Card using the November SFL Flavor of the Month

      Nov 23rd

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! I’m sharing a Thank You card today using the SFL November Flavor of the Month Collection 2! The paper in the Thanks So Much paper pad are beautiful; I love the color palate.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Thanks So Much stamp set onto a piece of pattern paper. I trimmed that down creating a fish tail on the right side. I decided to add 3 more pieces of pattern paper trimmed the same way under the sentiment.

I layered the White Organza ribbon from the collection onto the card and added the blue ribbon from the banana split pack over the top.
I finished the card using 3 enamel dots from the collection in the lower right hand.

      Thank You for stopping by!

    • Cool Treats and Strawberry Fields – 2 cards using 2 new paper pads.

Hello Everyone! I’m excited to share 2 new SFL Paper Pads! I couldn’t decide which one to share so I chose both!

My first card I used the Cool Treats pattern paper pad. I loved the watermelon Popsicle – a perfect treat for this time of the year. I love how the other patterns coordinate nicely and yet the focus is still those watermelons!!

My second card uses the Strawberry Fields Pattern Paper pad and I am also bringing in 2 pieces of Strawberry Fields Ephemera! That Jam Jar is my absolute favorite!!

Thank You so much for stopping by and check out all the SFL paper pads – there have been quite a few added recently!

    • Chocolate Treat Sleeves with gift tags using SFL “Tropical Fruit” Pattern Paper

Posted at 7:00 am by Christine Patterson
      Aug 10th

Hello Everyone! Today I am making a chocolate treat sleeves using the pattern paper “Tropical Fruit” from Collection 3 by SFL! First thing I needed to do was trim down the pattern paper to 1″ x 3″ pieces. I then wrap the pieces of paper around each chocolate. I don’t recommend liquid glue unless you want to hold them while they dry.
Once all of my chocolates are covered with the pattern paper, I trimmed down some card stock to 2″ x 6 1/4″ to put into the cellophane bag. It gives some stability for your treat sleeve. For extra support, you could score each side at 1/8″ on each (long) side so there is a “wall” on each side. The clear, cellophane bags I am using I purchased at a local big chain craft store. (They are advertised as covered pretzel bags.)

Once my treat sleeves are done, I need a tag for each. I used the smallest tag die I had available to make my tags. I die cut a tag from 110lb white card stock and then die cut some pattern paper. I adhered the pattern paper onto the white tag “base” and then used the bottom half of the tag to trim some more pattern paper to put on the bottom of the tag. I thought it would look fun to have 2 patterns. To separate the patterns, I added a strip of white card stock. This was also a great place to add our “to” and “from”.

I hope you enjoyed this fun, papercrafting project. I love to make these chocolate treats. They are a fun way to use pattern paper scraps and they make great little treats for family, friends and co-workers without spending a lot of money.

Have a Great Day — I hope you enjoy and get inspired.

    • Sneak Peek!! April Flavor of the Month Card Kit – City Streets and Country Roads

Posted at 12:00 pm by Christine Patterson
      Apr 20th

It’s Sneak Peek Week!! How cute is this travel paper and this adorable girl on the scooter? This is a peek from Collection 2.

For this card I chose 2 pattern papers. The more colorful one I used as the main panel. I cut that with a stitched rectangle die. In the lower right hand corner I added another pattern paper which I cut with a mini scallop stitched circle die and trimmed off the excess.

When I started to put the card together, I realized the second pattern paper needed a mat to separate it from the more colorful piece. I grabbed black card stock for a mat and used my scissors to carefully follow the circle.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set found in collection 2 and stamped that on a stitched fishtail sentiment strip I had in my stash. I used a little Barn Door Distress Ink around the top, bottom and right side.

To finish the card, I added 3 small enamel dots from the card kit and a little Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush on the scooter.

Stay tuned all week for more sneak peeks and stay up late Friday for the full reveal at 12:00am Saturday, April 26.
