Hi Everyone!  Luci here from My Crazy Craft Life with a sweet Thanksgiving card using PhotoPlay Mad 4 Plaid Fall Stamp Set, Darice Sticky Gold Glitter Paper, and Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood Paper Pad.

You can check out my process video HERE!

      20191101_205459

This is an A2 size card or 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches.  I used a dark brown card base from my stash.  I stamped the leaves on the back of the glitter paper and scanned through my Scan N Cut, then I flipped the glitter paper over so the glitter side was facing up and let the machine cut out the images.  I stamped the images of the fox and acorn from the stamp set and colored them with Copic markers (colors in the photo below).  I didn’t color the leaf of the acorn because I stamped that on the back of the Glitter paper and cut it too.

Once I finished up the images I used the Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood Paper Pad and cut the back panel in orange to 4 X 5 1.4 inches.  The turquoise colored piece was 4 X 3/4 inches.  The used dies from a Karen Burniston set to cut the yellow background piece and the light brown scalloped edge piece of pattern paper and layered all the pieces onto the card.

I stamped the sentiment on the top of the top panel of the card, adhered the acorn and used foam tape on the fox and placed it on the card.

      That’s it!  Easy Peasy!

    • September 2019 FOTM ~ Fall is Coming ~ Card Inspiration

Posted at 9:00 am by Crystal O. Minkler
      Oct 4th

Hello there crafty friends! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with some inspiration using the September 2019 Flavor of the Month Card Kit called Fall is Coming!! I am so happy that I finally have this beautiful kit in my inky hands!!

I’m sure that you have heard of the delays in the Design Team receiving the kits this month and mine was even more delayed because my family was on our annual Fall vacation. I got home late on Wednesday and was hoping to play with the card kit but there was yet another delay… a mix up with the post office and our held mail was not delivered. I finally received it yesterday and was able to get a couple cards made so let’s have a look, shall we?!

Knowing that my time was limited to get my DT post up and ready for the morning, I decided to focus on the wonderful Color In Cut A-parts by Photo Play that are included in Collection Four. I colored in the first Cut A-part using the following Copic markers ~ Y11, Y15, Y17, Y35, YR15, YR21, YR68, R14, R29, R59. I just adore this image!!

I trimmed down the Cut A-part and set it aside. I cut my layers for the card and adhered them to the Chocolate Brown card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I ran a piece of Tangy Orange card stock through my Big Shot with the Eyelet Elegance Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I adhered the Cut A-part panel to the orange die cut piece and popped up the entire panel on the card with foam tape. To finish off the card I added a few of the gorgeous enamel dots also from Gina Marie Designs that are included in Collection Four.

Since I had the Cut A-parts on my desk and the Copic Markers, I decided to make another card with a similar design. I love how fast I was able to make these cards using these wonderful Cut A-parts!! I hope that you’ve enjoyed my cards and that I’ve inspired you to use these Cut A-parts from your kit.

And if you haven’t yet seen this month’s wonderful card kit, here’s a look at the Double Dip Subscription…

… and the Banana Split Subscription…

Go purchase your card kit before they are all gone —> September 2019 Fall is Coming card kit!

    • Stamping Bella ~ Tumbleblossom Cluster ~ A Thanks+giving Card

Posted at 9:00 am by Crystal O. Minkler
      Sep 19th

Hello there crafty friends! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with another look at the fabulous Tumbleblossom Cluster stamp set by Stamping Bella… this stamp is absolutely stunning and such a dream to color! I had so much fun watercoloring it last week that I just had to color it up with my copic markers.

It’s been a very long time since I’ve attempted an Eclipse card and I thought it would be so fun to use the florals in this stamp as my eclipse background. Can you see the “Thanks” in the midst of the florals? It’s not super easy to see in this first picture but the closeup pictures that follow you can see it more and more.

      I used the following Copic markers to color these beautiful flowers in Autumn hues ~ Y000, Y06, Y17, YR000, YR15, YR27, YR68, BG70, BG72, BG75, YG11, YG95, YG97, R000, R00, R11, R14, R20, R56, R89. I added touches of white in the centers of some of the flowers with a white gel pen.

I die cut the thanks from the center of the flowers and then again three more times from scraps of kraft card stock. I then stamped the “+ giving” from the Fall Breeze stamp set by Photo Play, masking the “thanks” portion of the sentiment, onto a scrap piece of black card stock with VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed a fine white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and set it aside.

I die cut the flowers with the scallop peekaboo rectangle and then die cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ piece of black card stock. I adhered the two pieces onto a thin piece of white card stock and adhered the “thanks” die cut pieces. I then popped up the “+ giving” sentiment with foam squares. To finish off the card, I added several Chalk White Nuvo Stone Drops.

Here’s one more look at the card. I sure hope that you like my second Autumn take on this lovely cluster stamp. I truly enjoyed making it and I hope I’ve inspired you to give the Eclipse technique a try. Such a fun technique!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See ya next time.

      Inky Hugs,

      Crystal

    • Photo Play ~ Fall Breeze ~ So Thankful for You

Posted at 9:00 am by Crystal O. Minkler
      Sep 6th

Hello there crafty friends!! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with a Fall themed card!! I am so excited for Fall… I love all things Fall!! Particularly, the cooler weather… I’m way over the hot days of Summer!! I’d much rather have a warm cup of coffee while cozying up with a blanket while reading, so it almost felt cooler just making this card while dreaming of those days ahead.

How sweet is that little fox?! He looks so snug all nestled up with those pumpkins amidst the wreath of leaves. I love making wreaths and I just love how this one came together with the fox included.

I stamped all of the leaves, pumpkins and the fox from the Fall Breeze stamp set by Photo Play on white card stock and then colored them all in with the following Copic markers:

      Leaves ~ Y000, Y06, Y17, Y35, E23, E25, E27, R000, R11, R14, R27, YR15, YR21, YR68

      Pumpkins ~ YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, E23, E27

      Fox ~ E000, E37, E95, E97, E99

I fussy cut each of those leaves… oy was that something! But definitely worth the effort! I also fussy cut the pumpkins and the fox. I went over the edges of the colored images with my Memento tuxedo black marker and then started laying out my wreath. It wasn’t working quite right so I decided to die cut a wreath base using a Wreath die by Gina Marie Designs. Once I had that as my base I was able to lay out the leaves just right.

I adhered all of the pieces to the wreath and set it aside to dry. I then pulled out a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ piece of black card stock from my stash and blended some Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink in the upper center portion of the card stock for a night sky. I then die cut a circle in a post it note for a mask and masked the black portion of my card stock. I splattered some watered down white acrylic paint for my stars in my night sky. I set that aside to dry and added foam squares to the wreath.

I got excited and popped up that wreath on the card before stamping my sentiment but it worked out since I used my stamp platform to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark watermark ink (which I did twice to ensure it was stamped well) and then heat embossed a fine white embossing powder. To finish off the card, I tied a double bow of jute twine and then adhered it with some Multi Medium Matte.

Thanks so much for stopping by! See ya next time.

      Inky Hugs,

      Crystal

    • Lawn Fawn ~ Critters Down Under

Posted at 9:00 am by Crystal O. Minkler
      Aug 17th

Hello there! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with a sweet baby card using the adorable Critters Down Under stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I couldn’t resist also using the Kraft & Gold cardstock stack from DCWV again… love these papers!!

My card design today uses the fabulous sketch over at Mojo Monday Sketch challenge 520… only I turned the sketch on the side and moved the sentiment up to make my design work. I do love a good sketch! And this one was perfect for my card today!

Along with the fun Kraft & Gold papers I used the Fall Breeze papers from Photo Play… they coordinated beautifully! Since I knew I was doing a baby card, I chose the foiled hearts paper to adhere to my card base. I then used the Fall Breeze patterned papers and mat them on Lost Lagoon card stock from my stash. I die cut a cross stitched circle using the Large Cross Stitched Circle dies from Lawn Fawn and built my scene of stamped and colored images on the circle.

Here’s a close up of the little scene I created. I used the following Copic markers for my card:

      Platypus ~ BG000, BG70, BG72, BG75, YR15, YR16, YR21, E55, E57

      Tree ~ E55, E57, E59, YG11, G24, G99

      Egg ~ YR21, YR30, BG72, BG75

I had so much fun with this sketch that I decided to do a second card…

This time I kept the sketch upright and used the sweet Koala Doodlepop for my focal image. I used Dark Chocolate and New Leaf card stock for my layers and of course, I had to use a bit more of the fabulous Kraft & Gold papers!! The sentiment is actually from the Critters Down Under set, however, it actually says ‘hoppy birthday’ so I changed the ‘o’ into an ‘a’ just using my Memento tuxedo black marker. Easy peasy!!

In the close up photo you can really see that beautiful shine in the gold foil stripes of the paper! Love it! Well, that’s it for me today… I sure hope that you’ve enjoyed my cards for today!

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my DT blog post! See ya next time.

      Inky Hugs,

      Crystal

    • Sneak Peek Flavor of the Month September Card Kit

Posted at 8:00 am by infoscrappingforless
      Sep 28th

Hello! It’s Jenn from Scrapbena Creations on YouTube. I’m here with the final sneak peek of the September Flavor of the Month card kit before the big release at midnight! If you love fall and all things pumpkin spice, you are going to love this kit as much as I do!

I used some paper from two of the collections, including a cut-a-part of this adorable fox sleeping on a bed of leaves as my focal image on my card. To make sure this little cutie stood out from the background, I used a white gel pen around some of the outer edges. I stamped “Fall Greetings” from one of the stamp sets in this month’s kit right on the fox using my Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I also curled up the edges of the leaves using the end of a paintbrush for some added dimension.

I coloured two of the metal leaves using my alcohol markers (one in red and the other in orange) and tied a bow with twine going lengthwise on the card, which all come in this month’s kit as well. If you look closely, you will also see a few gold leaf sequins from one of the sequin packages this month peeking out from under the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by today! Don’t forget about the blog hop midnight (EST) Saturday September 29th to see the full kit reveal and lots of inspiration from the talented design team!

Have a fantastic day and happy crafting!

      Jenn xO
