Kim here from @CardmakingBlonde I have been looking forward to sharing this card with you all! This kit is filled with gorgeous patterned paper, cute images and sweet sentiments.
Here’s how this card came together:
used watercolor paper, the embossing folder that’s in the Banana Split card kit & distress oxide inks to create the heart paper
embossed the sentiment in sparkle embossing powder then cut it out with a sentiment strip die
popped up the sentiment on the edges to keep it level since this card has three layers
Don’t forget to join us this weekend for the blog hop to reveal November’s Flavor of the Month Card Kit. This is the last kit that SFL will be putting out and trust me you do NOT want to miss it! The card kit goes live on November 21st at midnight Eastern. Thank you for joining me today on the blog and I look forward to reading your comments during the hop.
Kim here from @CardmakingBlond, thank you so much for joining me today on the blog to check out what I came up with using a few Fall ingredients from SFL. I will give the rundown on what was used for this card and also include links to the items as well. Just in case you haven’t heard there is a STORE WIDE 30% OFF SALE GOING ON!
Here we go:
patterned papers are from SFL’s “In the Desert” paper pad this pad is full of great colors and images that make me think of Fall as well as the desert
added in some sequins from my stash that I received in a previous Flavor of the Month card kit
added some sparkle to the mug with a Nuvo Aqua shimmer pen
placed a little glossy accents over the coffee in the coffee cup (mine is coffee your’s can be whatever you like)
I am so happy with the way this card came out! All the different patterns and colors are just enough to keep it interesting without overwhelming the stamped image. I hope you are enjoying the Fall season so far! Here in Florida the weather is downright pleasant!
Thanks again for taking a minute to stop by and see what has been going on in my neck of the woods. I hope you take some time for yourself and get some crafting or cardmaking in. Don’t forget the STORE CLOSING sale going on right now!
Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde sharing a card I made using several goodies from SFL. This time of year I find myself wanting to make Fall, Halloween, and Christmas cards. What I don’t typically find is enough time, am I right? The card I am sharing with you today has the colors that make me think of Fall and the critters too.
Here is a rundown of what went into making this card:
This card came together very easily and would have been a quick card but I decided to fussy cut out the figures instead of using my Scan n Cut which I almost immediately regretted. Those moose antlers are no joke! I love the way it turned out and look forward to sending it on to some friends.
Thank you for stopping in today, I hope you will make some time for yourself and get creative.
Kim here from @CardmakingBlonde sharing with you one of my all time favorite SFL stamps “Teresa Talks Fall”. So many things to love about this time of year: pumpkin flavored everything, cooler air (in Florida we don’t get crisp air until at least January), & Fall decorations.
inked the edges of the tag with Chestnut Roan chalk ink
tied twine on the top of the tag
I am super pleased with the way this card turned out! Thanks so much for joining me today on the blog. I hope you make some time for yourself and get crafty!
Kim here from @cardmakingblonde here today wishing you Fall Blessings!
Here in Florida we have seen temps dipping into the 80’s so Fall has officially arrived! We joke about it but if you are either from here or if you’ve lived here long enough there really is a change in the feel and smell of the air that tells you Fall is here. I still wish we had the changing leaves but alas, you can’t have it all right?
-used the twine also included in the collection to wrap around the card and add a bow before gluing the panel down to the card base
There will be one more sneak peek tomorrow and then the BLOG HOP! I look forward to seeing what the rest of the design team came up with. You have two ways to get your Flavor of the Month card kit.
Wait for the kit to reveal at midnight EST on September 26th and grab a one time purchase (this one is a little risky but no judgement if you enjoy living on the edge a little ha, ha!)
Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today for this sneak peek! I look forward to seeing you at the hop and hope you are enjoying a nice Fall so far!

Hello there crafty friend! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with a fun swap that I made for fellow design team member Stacy using the beautiful Summer Daisies paper pad that was recently released at Scrapping for Less. I combined the papers with some other products in my stash…
let’s have a look!
I started with a cereal box… yup! You read that right. I cut all of my pieces for the post it note holder from the cereal box first. Here’s a link to the tutorial I used… Easy Note Pad Holder Book.
I used the cereal box in place of the chipboard coasters mentioned in the tutorial.
I covered the cereal box pieces with pretty polka dot papers from Stampin’ Up and then used the gorgeous Summer Daisies from SFL to decorate and embellish the other pieces. The beautiful ribbon is from Papertrey Ink… seriously a mash up of products from my stash! The daisy is one of my digital stamps available at Polka Dot Orchard… called Whoops a Daisy. I printed it out, colored it with a few copic markers {C00, C1, C2, Y11, Y13, Y35, YG11} and then fussy cut it. I couldn’t find quite the right sentiment, so I just printed this one off from my computer on card stock and fussy cut it.
The side view… I only had a couple post it note pads in coordinating colors.
This holder could hold a lot of post it notes!
The inside… isn’t it cute?! I’ve had that mini pen from the Dollar Spot at Target for years… it works perfectly with this holder!
To clean up the edges of my patterned papers I used a sanding block that I’ve had in my stash forever. I believe it’s from Stampin’ Up as well.
That’s it! It was so fun to create something to send off to a crafty friend!
I definitely need to make more of these!
Check out all the new fabulous paper pads recently released at SFL here… New Paper Pads!!
Hello my fellow crafters, I am so glad you are here today! I cannot believe we are so close to September and before we know it we’ll all be staring down Christmas wondering where the time went. Scrapping For Less has been creating beautiful paper pads and one of the newest ones is “A Red Christmas” and it’s a must have!
The card above shows off several of the sheets from the “A Red Christmas” paper pad. I just couldn’t bring myself to cover up the ornaments on that main middle panel which is why I went with die cutting the sentiment and letting that be the focal point. Originally cut out in kraft paper it wasn’t showing up enough for my taste so out came Nuvo drops in white to make sure the sentiment would stand out. Also added some dots to the little tab at the top right.
Below is a pic of all the recently released paper pads. Grab yours before they’re gone!
Thank you for stopping in today. I wish you time for yourself this week to do whatever makes your heart happy.
There are times that life just gets in the way…recently my hubby and I bought a house and moved. Three weeks ago to be exact and as it so often does, my craft room was the last room in the house to get any attention. Not for lack of love, that’s for sure but no matter what is going on in life we all have to eat, bathe (hopefully frequently, ha!) and sleep so my craft room is still in disarray.
I tell you all of this to make a point…I was able to grab my kit and a few minimal supplies: stamp tool, trimmer, liquid glue and scissors and still come up with a super cute card to give a friend in need of encouragement. Hopefully this little story will encourage you to make some time for yourself even if your supplies are minimal and life is taking over your space and your time.
July’s Flavor of the Month kit sold out (yay!). If you would like to ensure that you get next month’s kit sign up for a subscription that way you won’t miss a thing!
Thanks so much for coming to the blog today, I hope you find some time for yourself and get to do that thing you love doing!
Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde and I am super excited to be sharing these cuties from La La Land’s “Best Mates” stamp set with you today! I have been eyeing this stamp set for soooo long, I kept talking myself out of it and then the SFL Let’s Get Nautical paper pad was released. I could no longer hold off, I HAD to have them both as they are perfect for each other.
I colored up these little guys using Copic markers. I shaded where I could and for the teeny tiny areas I just focused on staying inside the area. This is my first slimline card and it was so much fun. I felt like I had more room to play with and create a scene. I used a waves die to create the waves and then inked them up with Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass. For the sand part I almost used paper but then remembered I had some sand embossing powder and I just could not be stopped at that point!
I am loving how this Slimline card turned out and if you have not made your first one yet don’t be intimidated. The measurement for the card base is 8.5 inches x 7 inches, then on the 7 inch side score at 3.5 inches. Okay that’s me for today. I have included the direct links to the items I used while creating today’s card.
Thank you so much for stopping by to day, please leave a comment and have a great rest of your day!
