Hello Everyone! Let’s not forget those December Birthday’s among all our Holiday cardmaking! Today, I’ve grabbed the Party Palooza stamp set by Heffy Doodle and the 6×6 pattern paper pad “Ice Cream Celebration” by Scrapping for Less for this colorful birthday card.
I first stamped out all of my images and colored parts of the images with Copic makers. I then stamped out all the parts I wanted to have a pattern, onto various pieces of pattern paper.
While there is solid colored wrapping paper and gift bags, most gifts are wrapped with a patterned wrapping paper. In order to give my gifts that look, I decided to paper piece with pattern paper from the Ice Cream Celebration collection. I fussy cut all the pieces then used liquid glue to adhere the pieces the the stamped image on white card stock.
*Quick Tip: The Ice Cream Celebration paper has a glossy finish. When stamping on this paper – stamp directly down – wait about 5-10 seconds then lift directly up. I also recommend putting it aside for a few minutes and allow the ink to completely dry.
When all my pieces were ready, I assembled my card and added my finishes. I used Wink of Stella clear glitter brush on the balloons and the frosting on the cupcake. I used a white gel pen to add highlights on the balloons and grabbed Belgium Bluestone Nuvo Stone drops to add to the blank space right above the cupcake.
I hope you enjoy and get inspired!
