Hello, it’s Stacy here from Craftaholicmomma today on the Scrapping for Less blog with a paper craft project featuring all three products from the brand new SFL release, Winter Fairy.
My daughter’s birthday is coming up at the end of January so I wanted to make her something she could use at her party and then afterwards hang in her room.
This banner was very simple. I did not use any dies, just minimal supplies.
First I stamped and colored all of the main images from the two stamp sets, Winter Fairies and Fairy House. I’ve heard lots of good things about the Ohuhu Alcohol Markers from Amazon so I wanted to give them a try. I love my Copics but sometimes I want a bullet nib. So I purchased the 200 pack bullet nib markers at a very reasonable price (50 cents a marker). I was very pleased with them. They were all very juicy.
I listed the colors I used for each image.
I used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut out my images including the snowflakes.
Next I picked out 6 sheets of the new SFL Winter in Pink 6×6 paper pack. I trimmed these to 5 1/4″ square. Next I measured the bottom edge halfway (2 5/8″) and made a mark.
Next I connected the two upper corners with my mark, drew a line and then cut on the two lines to form my banner piece.
I wanted to mat the paper on white card stock. So the card stock is cut a little bit bigger at 5 1/2″ square. I repeated the same process marking my edge at 2 3/4″.
Next I took a hand held hole punch and punched two holes in the upper corners of all 6 pieces. This is where I will later string my ribbon through.
Next I popped up my images on adhesive foam tape and centered them on the banners.
I finished decorating them with the snowflakes and adhesive bling. I ran pink ribbon to connect them and Viola! I made a seriously adorably cute banner in less than one hour!
Thanks for visiting and enjoy all of the beautiful projects the design team creates this month with this brand new Winter Fairy release.
