Hi everyone! This is Debbie from Project39 Mini Albums and I am so honored to be doing a guest post for Scrapping for Less.

I made a super simple mini album with the fabulous “A Red Christmas” paper pad. This paper pad is done in gorgeous red and white with tan and green and filled with familiar candy canes, ornaments, and other great Christmas themes, but any of the 6X6 paper pads from Scrapping for Less will make a wonderful mini album.

See the full process in my YouTube Video.

Here is the cutting guide for the mini album:

      Chipboard: (2) 5X7 & (1) 3X7”

You will need 2 pieces of cardstock to wrap the chipboard, use 2 pieces taped together of 7X11”

To cover the spine, cut a piece of cardstock 4 7/8 X 6.

       I used heavy cardstock for the pages, 100 or 110 lb (5) 6 ¾ X 4 ¼.

      Page 2:Flap 4 ¼ X 6 ¼ Score on short side at ½

      Page 3:Pocket 2 ½ X 7 ¼, score on two short sides and one long side at ½. Flap 6 ¼ X 4 ½, score on long side ½.

        Page 4: Top Flap” 6 ¼ x 4 7/8- Score on long side ½ & 5/8. Side flap 6 1/4X 4 ¼, score on short side ½. Page 5:Cut (2) 3 5/8 X 4 ¼ Score on long side of both.

Once you finish building the mini album you can have fun decorating the pages. You can replicate my design, or do your own, and then use whatever embellishments you have to enhance the pages.

You will see that you can make this as simple as you wish, or mix and match the different features to create your own mini album.

       Have fun creating!

Sure hope you enjoy Debbie’s mini-album using “A Red Christmas” from Scrapping for Less! I cannot wait to take my paper pad and create a mini album. I think I might even do one for each Christmas! I am so behind in Scrapping Christmas pictures!

A Great BIG thanks to Debbie for doing this for us!!!

    • Golden Beach Mini Album and a Bonus Card

Posted at 7:00 am by bourboncreekcrafts

Hello friends! It’s Beth from Bourbon Creek Crafts here today and I’m excited to share my fun little project with you! I am using the new Golden Beach paper collection to make a mini scrapbook album and a bonus card with the scraps!

If you’d like to watch how I made my mini album and card, you can view the full process video HERE.

Along with the paper collection, I used some 5 1/2 inch square Kraft envelopes from my stash, the At the Beach Sentiments stamp set and some sequins from a past Flavor of the Month card kit.

I used the envelopes as the base of my album, adhering the flap of one envelope into another envelope to make a set of pages. I used Art Glitter Glue for this step. You just repeat the process until you have the amount of pages you want. Once you get your last envelope added on, you take the flap from the very first envelope and adhere it down to the very last envelope you added. You can see the full process in the video.

The start of my album, inserting one flap into another envelope.

Once my album was put together, I trimmed the patterned paper down to 5 3/8 square for both the covers and inner pages. This allowed a small Kraft border to be visible around my patterned paper. I decorated the pages with the scrap strips I had left from cutting down the 6×6 paper, along with the stamped sentiments and images.

I adhered my decorated pages to the album with Scor-tape. I finished the album off with some sequins throughout, just to add a little pop of bling.

Once I finished the album, I realized I had a bunch of scrap strips leftover, so I decided to make a card to use those pieces up.

I cut down a piece of cardstock to 3 3/4 by 5 inches. I added some adhesive across the whole front of this panel and then started laying the strips down diagonally across my panel. I added a piece of cardstock behind this panel as a card mat. I used one of the At the Beach sentiments that I had stamped but not used for the album as the sentiment for this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed seeing the Golden Beach paper as well as my quick little mini album! Have a great day!

    • Revisiting the September 2018 FOTM Kit

Hello! It’s Beth from Bourbon Creek Crafts here today and I am revisiting the September 2018 Flavor of the Month card kit. I’m focusing on Fall projects this month, so I decided to pull this cute little kit out and have some fun. You can see the full project share video HERE.

I combined collections 2 and 3 to make a cute little Fall themed mini scrapbook album.

I used some 5 1/2 inch square Kraft envelopes to create my album base. I used the patterned papers, cardstocks, stamps and ephemera from the collections to decorate up the album.

From the Let’s Talk About Bees collection, I made 5 cards, 3 of which used the super cute Bumblebee Marci stamp set. I decorated up a mini composition notebook using patterned paper and a piece of ephemera. I also made a post it note pad holder, using the cute beehive paper and ephemera. And, lastly, I was able to make a little tag using up the scraps from this collection.

I loved this Amber Moon collection from Prima! It’s so pretty! I made 7 cards and a couple of lunch box cards to use up the scraps.

I had one piece of scarecrow ephemera left and since it had sunflowers on it (sunflowers are my favorite), I made a little decor piece using a small wooden block I had on hand. I managed to pool scraps from all the collections together to get one more full size card and one more lunch box note.

Thanks for stopping by today! I had a lot of fun with this collection and the paper was all so pretty! I hope you can find some inspiration to use up an older kit in your stash as well! Have a crafty day!

    • Revisting the August 2018 FOTM Kit

Hi, all! It’s Beth here and I have a crafty goal this year to use up one old card kit each month. I love the FOTM kits and have been hoarding them for the last several years. I decided this is the year I want to get them out, enjoy them and make pretty things. Plus, I need to make room for new kits!!!😉

April 2018 FOTM Kit projects by Bourbon Creek Crafts

The kit I chose to use in May was the August 2018 kit with the theme For the Love of Pets. In the kit there were 2 dog themed collections and 2 cat themed collections. To see more of the details of each of these projects as well as links to products used, you can watch the video HERE.

I started with collections 1 and 2 (Dog Tails by Echo Park and Rainbow Dots and Stripes by Sunny Studio). I combined the papers, embellishments, stamps and journal cards from these two collections to make this cute dog themed mini album.

Next, I combined papers, ephemera, stamps and embellishments from collections 3 and 4 (Smitten Kitten by Doodlebug Designs and Dots and Stripes by Echo Park) to make this cute little kitty themed mini album.

With the scraps I had left, I made a decorative note pad holder for a 3 inch post it note pad and some cards.

I hope you got some inspiration and ideas on how to use up some of your older FOTM kits (surely I’m not the only one who has been hoarding them???)! Have a crafty day!
