Hello there crafty friends! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with a beautiful card using the newly released Winter Fairies stamp set for a card that could be used for the Holidays or just a winter themed card to brighten someone’s day!
This is a two step stamping process… I stamped the light string three times on a white card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ using Memento tuxedo black ink. I then lined up the little light bulb and stamped it using different colors.
I then colored in each of the little light sockets and bulbs… which actually didn’t take very long. The lights are so cute and quick to color in. I used the following copic markers:
Light Sockets ~ N0, N2, N5, N7, N9
Light Bulbs ~ R000, R14, R29, Y000, Y13, Y35, B0000, B00, B02, B04, G0000, G000, G46, YG11, YG63
I gave each of the little light bulbs a bit of a glow by coloring around the light bulb with the lightest color. The green was a little dark so I ended up going around the outer edge of the glow with the Colorless Blender… lightened it right up! I placed my card front in my Travel Stamp Platform and lined up the sentiment. Sadly, I didn’t notice a bit of ink that I had neglected to clean off of my platform so I ended up with a couple of smudges near both ends of my crisp clean white card front *insert palm to head emoji*… I tried to fix it with my handy dandy Tombow Mono Sand Eraser, but it wouldn’t work. I opted to trim off the ends.
So… I decided to pop up the panel onto a white card base and I’m actually really happy with the end result! I hope you like it too! Be sure to check out the new release… there’s only a limited number available!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! See ya next time.
Inky Hugs,
Crystal
Hello, it’s Stacy from CraftaholicMomma up today on the Scrapping for Less blog with an “other than a card” project for you today.
This project was not my original idea as I’ve seen it around on Pinterest and such. I just loved the idea! I though I “wood” make these for my daughters teachers, paras and classmates for Christmas. They make a very cute gift or stocking stuffer for a friendly cost.
I stamped the images from the MFT Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored the images with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I read somewhere that they had better luck with no bleeding if they used their Spectrum Noirs. The COPIC Markers with the brush bibs tend to bleed on the wood. I think the key is to use a marker with a bullet nib. I guess the best thing to do is to sacrifice one of the wood slices and try out different markers on it and see which one works best for you.
The other cool thing about these wood slices is that they come already pre-sanded and pre-drilled with holes. Plus a big wad of rustic twine was included.
So if you’re looking for quick and easy gift try making these wood slice ornaments. Your recipients will love them!
Thanks for visiting,

Hello! Crystal here with a sweet card using an adorable stamp set from Stamping Bella called The Penguin on a Reindeer on a Polar Bear.
I paired the Stamping Bella set with the bright and beautiful Holiday Cheer papers from Sunny Studio. Oh my goodness… these papers have such beautiful colors! They totally inspired my color palette for this card. I stamped the image and the sentiment on a 5-1/4 x 4″ piece of white card stock.
I then colored using my Copic markers:
Penguin ~ YR15, YR68, N0, N1, N3, N5, Colorless Blender, R14, R27
Deer ~ E23, E25, E31, E34, E51, E53, W4
Polar Bear ~ W00, W1, W3, W5, R00, R21, Colorless Blender
Tree ~ R14, R27, R37, RV21, RV34, B000, B02, Y06, Y17, G24, G29, G46
I trimmed down my panel to 3-5/8 x 5-1/4″ and adhered a piece of the striped patterned paper from the Holiday Cheer papers to the back of the panel, now making the panel measure 4 x 5-1/4″. I die cut two banners from the papers, trimmed them to my desired length, and then adhered them to the panel. I popped up the panel on a white card base.
My final touch for this card was some Sprinkled Sugar Stickles on the fluffy hats of the penguin and polar bear. It really gives a glittery shine to the little guys hats! Adorable! This wonderful design was inspired by the fun sketch that Katie posted in the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share facebook group. Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love getting a jump on Christmas cards and this little cutie moved right up to the top of my list. I dug into my Christmas stash and went through some patterned paper. When I saw the green plaid I immediately wanted to use that for her dress. Then I ran into a snafu…have you ever not done a technique in so long that you forget how? That is what happened to me! Embarrassing but in case any of you out there experience this now you know you’re not alone. Thank goodness my friend was hanging out close by and when I mentioned that I really wanted to paper piece her dress but couldn’t she laughingly reminded me how. As soon as she reminded me I felt so silly but we got a good laugh out of it!
Here is a quick run down of what I did:
MFT’s Pure Innocence stamps are just that perfect mix of sweet and cute, and I am smitten with them! Now to make more Christmas cards!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my post I hope you get the chance to craft today. A little or a lot just some time for what you want to do. Have a great day!
