    • Ornamental Christmas

      Hello, hello!

Kim here from @CardmakingBlonde sharing with you what just may be one of the most elegant Christmas cards I have made this year! Now I love heat embossing and the SFL “Ornamental Christmas” stamp set perfectly lends itself to be heat embossed. Once I got the ornament and the sentiment embossed onto the card I pierced the paper inside the bulb’s hook and strung some gold thread through it. Layered the card with gold glitter paper then the last touch was adding glitter gold Nuvo drops in random dots around the card.

I am so happy with how this card turned out! It’s sparkly and elegant, I am so looking forward to giving this card away! Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today. I hope you are getting into the Holiday Spirit we could all use a little more happy this year! Tis’ the Season!!!

      Keep on creating,

      Kim 🙂

    • Fairy Garden | Sneak Peek | May Flavor of the Month Card Kit

      May 21st

Hello, it’s Stacy up on the Scrapping for Less blog today with a sneak peek of the new May Flavor of the Month Card Kit that is to be revealed this Saturday, May 25th.

I used items from the Banana Split extra pack of goodies. I colored in the embossed panel with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set included in the Banana Split goodie pack. A little bit of hot pink glitter from the same goodie pack added that bit of sparkle the otherwise simple card needed.

I can’t wait for you to see the card kit this month. To insure you have a kit with your name on it be sure to sign up for a subscription prior to the reveal.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you this Saturday!

    • A Sparkly Sneak Peek at the February 2019 FOTM Card Kit

Posted at 9:00 am by Lynnea Hollendonner
      Feb 18th

Hi, friends! I’m here to share a little peek at the new February 2019 Flavor of the Month card kit from Scrapping for Less! Our theme this month is Whip it Up and it’s all about baking and all kinds of yummy goodies! This is one of my favorites! I love baking with my son and this kit gives me all the good feels!

This Whisky Business stamp set is included in the Banana Split level kit for February 2019. I love it so much! The font is gorgeous and I think it’s so punny! I wanted to have a simple background to really make the sentiment shine, so I watercolored some stripes with my Brea Reese watercolors and liquid glitter for a sparkly rainbow background. Then I stamped and heat embossed my image and sentiment with white embossing powder. This kit also comes with some loose glitter, so I used some liquid glue at the bottom of the whisk and added some of the glitter for an extra bit of shine!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the February 2019 Flavor of the Month card kit from Scrapping for Less! The whole kit will be available on the 23rd! Be sure to come back then to see my unboxing video and more cards I’ve made with this kit! See you soon!

    • Flavor of the Month: It’s All About Ice Cream Inspiration

Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month One Year Anniversary kits are still available to get yours click HERE.

In general, I am not a glitter paper person, but we received 4 6x6 sheets with the kit and I wanted to use it.  I ended up spraying the entire card with my DYI shimmer spray, not because I needed more bling but because I was hoping the hairspray I add to it as a binding agent would help the glitter to not be so flakey.  It worked, it’s not perfect but much better.  So for this card, I used all four colors of the glitter paper that came with the kit.  I also used one of the tags and the Marci stamp, I colored her with chameleon markers, added her to the tag along with a couple sentiments from the Scrapping for Less sentiment stamp set, and used glue dots so it could be removed.  Under the tag, I added another piece of glitter paper a little smaller than the tag and added another sentiment so when the tag is removed it still looks pretty!  Of course, I had to use the Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the Marci image!

Thanks for stopping by and check out the Scrapping for Less website for information on the kit!

    • Take a Little Sneak Peek! Lawn Fawn Winter Fox

Posted at 9:00 am by Kimberly Smith
      Dec 22nd

      Hello Everyone!

I hope this post finds you grabbing a little time yourself today. Once I got my hot little hands on this card kit I immediately went for the fox! She is so sweet and pretty and is smiling like that hot cup of deliciousness (for me it is always coffee) is truly warming her up. I am looking forward to seeing the cards that will be created from this month’s Flavor of the Month card kit!

Without further adieu here it is:

I stamped the image with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink since I knew I would be coloring it with my Copic Markers and that ink is formulated to work with alcohol markers. I colored the image and then added some Nuvo Glitter Drop to the coffee mug but the sparkle just isn’t showing up in the picture here but I am definitely digging the glossiness. The wood background paper with the little snowmen is so cute I had a really hard time covering any of it up even though I wanted it to be my background. Last but not least I added the little rosette fans with the buttons and thought they were such a fun and different embellishment. They are new to me and now I am itching to get my hands on some more!

Thank you so much for checking out this sneak peek, it was so much fun and I hope you enjoy getting to see a glimpse of what’s to come. I know this time of year is a busy season so hang in there a bit longer and make those great memories and then you can sit down with your favorite beverage, take some time for yourself and dig into this month’s sweet little card kit!

      HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
