Hello, it’s Stacy from Craftaholicmomma up today on the Scrapping for Less blog with a set of Secret Santa Gifts I made for my daughter’s classmate.
My daughter, Emily, is in the 6th grade and this year they are doing Secret Santa. She drew Jacob’s name. We are to do three gifts totaling no more than $7. I had to really get creative to figure this out.
His first gift is a blue water bottle (his favorite color) deck out with his name and geometric shapes cut from vinyl. I put several drink packets in the bottle. I managed to score a dozen water bottles in assorted colors at Walmart when they were on clearance for only 10 cents. So this gift definitely fell within the cost parameters.
His second gift was a can of Pizza flavored Pringles and a bag of M&Ms, also his favorite snack/candy.
His third gift is a composition notebook I decorated with the Doodlebug Winter Wonderland 12×12 Collection pack. I cut his name out using a font preloaded onto my Brother Scan n Cut. I then made an accompanying bookmark which I laminated. I continued on trying to use up my scraps from the notebook so then I made an ornament with the Yeti Doodlebug Doodlepop and banner dies by Gina Marie Designs. I still had one 3×5 scrap left so I made a card for him, revealing who his Secret Santa was.
So all in all I hope he loves his gifts and I think I nailed the $7 cost parameters perfectly.
Here is what I made:
The Composition Notebook
And the little card with matching envelope

Thanks for hopping along with us! Everyone at Scrapping for Less wishes you a happy and safe Holiday Season!
Hello! Alicia (Crazy Paper Chick) here and I am so excited to be a guest designer for the month of November for Scrapping for Less.
I was an elementary school teacher for many years. During Christmas time for Social Studies we studied Christmas traditions around the world. This was my absolute favorite time of the year with my students. So, for our Christmas Around the World card kit I have chosen my most favorite countries we studied to feature.
Mexico: Great food and wonderful traditions centered around Papa Noel.
Sweden: St. Lucia was my favorite tradition in Sweden we studied.
Australia: My students got the biggest kick out of the fact that it was hot and summer there during Christmas.
Germany: Of course what would a study be without studying the origin of the Christmas tree.
Collection One: Holiday Flowers and Collection Two: Australian Christmas
Collection Three: Nordic Winter and Collection Four: A Warm and Cozy Christmas
Card Stock/Envelopes and Banana Split Level
Now onto our line up:
Hello there crafty friends! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with some inspiration using the September 2019 Flavor of the Month Card Kit called Fall is Coming!! I am so happy that I finally have this beautiful kit in my inky hands!!
I’m sure that you have heard of the delays in the Design Team receiving the kits this month and mine was even more delayed because my family was on our annual Fall vacation. I got home late on Wednesday and was hoping to play with the card kit but there was yet another delay… a mix up with the post office and our held mail was not delivered. I finally received it yesterday and was able to get a couple cards made so let’s have a look, shall we?!
Knowing that my time was limited to get my DT post up and ready for the morning, I decided to focus on the wonderful Color In Cut A-parts by Photo Play that are included in Collection Four. I colored in the first Cut A-part using the following Copic markers ~ Y11, Y15, Y17, Y35, YR15, YR21, YR68, R14, R29, R59. I just adore this image!!
I trimmed down the Cut A-part and set it aside. I cut my layers for the card and adhered them to the Chocolate Brown card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″. I ran a piece of Tangy Orange card stock through my Big Shot with the Eyelet Elegance Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I adhered the Cut A-part panel to the orange die cut piece and popped up the entire panel on the card with foam tape. To finish off the card I added a few of the gorgeous enamel dots also from Gina Marie Designs that are included in Collection Four.
Since I had the Cut A-parts on my desk and the Copic Markers, I decided to make another card with a similar design. I love how fast I was able to make these cards using these wonderful Cut A-parts!! I hope that you’ve enjoyed my cards and that I’ve inspired you to use these Cut A-parts from your kit.
And if you haven’t yet seen this month’s wonderful card kit, here’s a look at the Double Dip Subscription…

Fall! What a great time of the year. I love all the things that happen in this magical months of the year…leaves falling, kids tricking or treating maybe, apple picking, pumpkin gutting, and lots of other wonderful activities that one can engage in when it is cool and breezy outside. Whoa! Wait a minute…I live in Sunny Central Florida where the temps are in the 90s long into the fall season…One can dream though, can’t they? In the meantime, I will just treasure my wonderful fall activities with card making!
This month is a bit different due to our product not arriving in time to get the kit out to our Design Team. So instead of a blog hop there will be inspiration from our design team throughout the month. Also, please make sure if you would like a subscription to assure you receive your kit now is the time. Due to needing to manage numbers a bit better should you cancel your subscription in the future you MAY need to be placed on a waiting list. When there is a cancellation I will go from the waiting list in order. Thanks so much for understanding and loving our kits!

For the month of July the theme is Under the Stars. We are celebrating nature and camping, spending time with Mother Nature.
Tomorrow my husband, my daughter, my mother and father in law and myself are headed “Up North” for our annual vacation. I live in Southeast Minnesota. We rent a cabin at a small family owned resort in a lake in Central Northern Minnesota, approximately an hour from the Canadian Border. The “boys” spend their days fishing and the “girls” hang out by the cabin and enjoy the relaxation.
This is a picture of my husband (right) and my father in law (left) with their catch.
So I thought I would turn this set of stickers by Paper House into a cute sign for our cabin and leave it there as a thank you gift to the resort owners. They are super sweet people who go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
