      May 3rd

We are super excited to join in as a Super Sponsor for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop. Our Design Team has created some great projects to share with you. Enjoy the hop and enjoy 15% off most products in our store. (excluded are Flavor of the Month and Subscription products) Use the code SPRINGCOFFEE.

For information about the hop and for the entire list please go to the Coffee Lover’s Blog for all the details.

First up we have Stacy from Craftaholicmomma with her card using the Lawn Fawn “Thanks a Latte” stamp set. Her patterned paper is from PhotoPlay’s Fall Breeze 6×6 paper pad. She used a sketch from Operation Write Home #B-21. She paper pieced her coffee cup and stamped her “foam” in Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide Ink.

Hi crafty peeps! Crystal here with an adorable card using Unicorn Marci that I’m sharing for the 2019 Spring / Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

I blended the background with distress oxide inks and had a lot of fun watercoloring Unicorn Marci and the coffee cup. I popped up the fussy cut images on my stenciled background that I had die cut with a wonky stitch die and adhered to a white card base. I then stamped the sentiment… a combination of the sentiment with the Unicorn Marci stamp set and a masked sentiment from the Mini Marci with Coffee stamp set. Love how it turned out! You can check out  my blog for more details.  Happy Hopping!

LeeAnn has some Coffee fun using Pink and Main’s “Mer-Mazing” Stamp Set and sentiment panel from Echo Park “Coffee” paper pack. Colored with Alcohol Markers, with the background using Coffee and Mocha to appear like spilled coffee. Have an AWESOME day.

Teresa is sharing a very simple card using the Coffee and Friends paper pad that is available in the shop.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us and don’t forget our 15% sale from May 3rd-May 10th. Remember to use the code SPRINGCOFFEE when checking out to receive your discount.

      Crafty Hugs,

    • Pink & Main ~ Pretty Jars

Posted at 9:00 am by Crystal O. Minkler
      Apr 19th

      Hello crafty peeps!

Crystal here with a lovely card using the Pretty Jars stamp and die bundle set by Pink & Main. Oh my goodness… I absolutely love this bundle!! The stamps are so beautiful and the dies make cutting out this intricate floral stamp super easy peasy!!

I still had the beautiful Echo Park Spring Fling papers on my desk so I decided to use them again for this card. I cut strips of a few different papers to create the pattern underneath the focal image. The background greenish/blue paper is also from the paper pad.

I stamped the flowers twice because I wanted to fussy cut the flowers to pop them up on the focal image for a bit more dimension. Working with colors that coordinated with the papers, I colored both sets of the flowers. I used the following Copic markers ~ RV00, RV21, Y13, Y35, YG11, YG23.

I then die cut the flowers and fussy cut the one set… cutting it on the black line. I colored the outer edge of the fussy cut flowers with a Memento tuxedo black marker to clean up the edges and then I popped them up on the other flowers.

I then adhered the flowers to a white die cut stitched oval and popped the oval piece up on the card. I knew I wanted to use the ‘sweet friend’ sentiment from the set but I wanted to add a little somethin’ somethin’ so I pulled out the ‘hello’ die from Pink & Main that was included in a past card kit and die cut three times out of white card stock. I colored one of the die cut hellos with Copic markers in an ombre style and then adhered all the die cut layers. I stamped the ‘sweet friends’ sentiment on white card stock and then die cut it with a banner die and layered it on a strip of pink paper from the Spring Fling paper pad that I also die cut with the same banner die.

In retrospect, I kinda wish I had stamped the ‘sweet friend’ sentiment in a dark pink… but at the time, I was packing my studio and my supplies were limited. I am still very happy with how this card turned out! The design is definitely one that would work to use up some of those scraps of patterned paper that we all have laying around!!

You can find the Pretty Jars stamp & die bundle in the shop!

Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!

      See ya next time.

      Inky Hugs,

      Crystal

    • Some Love Bites and Monster Sized Combo!

      Feb 5th

      Hi Everyone!

Kim here sharing a couple of cards and a couple of different stamp sets that are perfect for sending love and telling those special folks in your life just how much they mean to you. A quick little story about me and my card making process. Well, I don’t know if it’s much of a process really, more of an admission. Ha ha! I am slow, I am slow at coloring, I am slow at deciding what I want to do, and then once I decide I’m slow at putting it together. Heaven help me if I am making a shaker card or an interactive card because then I am EVEN SLOWER!.

Over time I have accepted this about myself and am now okay with being slow. For me it’s not about the amount of cards I can put out but the act of making whatever it is I am working on at the time. It’s that zone of feeling completely content from coloring and card making that I am looking for and the joy of sending people something that will hopefully bring them joy and let them know I care.

That being said because I know how slow I can be there are few things I have learned to take advantage of. So here are some things I do to help myself with future cards and coloring etc. maybe they will help you too:

      • Stamp them all – if you are using a stamp set like the two I am using where they have a lot of different images I stamp them all out even if I only have plans for a few. You have the stamp set pulled out already and if you are using a stamp tool you’ve also got the space.
      • Color them all – of course this is only if time permits but even if it doesn’t you can always come back to them and color them when you do have time. I try to color all the images because often times I don’t have an idea in my head yet as to which characters on the stamp I want to use and this way they are ready to go when I decided I want to use them. The little guys that don’t get used I save in a plastic container for future use.
      • Cut them all out – whether you are fussy cutting or using a machine cut everything out pretty much for the same reason as listed above so that they are ready when you are.

I have found that these little things make it more likely that I will sit down and make a card even if things are hectic and I only have a few minutes to play. Then the times when I really have some free time I can pull out different stamp sets and have a stamping party! Hope these tips help you in your creative play and ultimately gives you more and more chances to do something fun and play with all these stamps that we find ourselves unable to live without! (You are not alone!)

This is what I made using Love Bites from Newton’s Nook.

This is what I made using Monster Sized from MFT Stamps.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today, I wish you a wonderful day and some time to yourself to do what makes you happy!

      Keep on crafting,

      Kim 🙂
