    • Avery Elle Spring Bouquet and No Line Copic Coloring | Scrapping for Less

Hi everybody.  Courtney here with another coloring project.  Today I used the Spring Bouquet stamp set by Avery Elle to do a bit more no-line Copic coloring.

I stamped the image with a light ink and worked one petal at a time being sure to create dimension with those “scary dark colors”.

I added my stamen back in with a Signo Unibal white gel pen and stamped my sentiment.

I created a mat for my main panel by coloring just the edges with a matching Copic marker.  This gives the illusion that you have a matching cardstock.

Last, I added a few Nuvo drops and called this one done.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative and crafty day!

      -Courtney

    • Let’s Celebrate Easter with Chubby Bunny by Sunny Studio

      Hello Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out what’s up today on The Blog! I have loved Easter since I was little, I can remember digging into my Easter basket as a little one and then having to put it all down to get dressed up to go to the Easter Service and looking at my mom in disbelief that I was going to have leave all of the goodies I JUST found out about!

The love of Easter and bunnies has stuck with me through the years leaving me with a soft spot for cute bunnies and Sunny Studio’s Clear Stamp “Chubby Bunny” have some of the cutest bunnies I think I’ve ever seen!

So here is the journey of the card I made from stamping out the images to having to do a little card surgery but in the end I still arrived with a cute little Easter card I can’t wait to give to somebunny special. (I know, it’s just too precious, I almost can’t stand myself either, lol!)

I stamped out all the images, colored them with Copic Markers and then cut them out using my Scan n’ Cut.

Next I grabbed the “Simply Spring” paper pad by Doodlebug Design. They always do a great job with Spring and Easter paper pads and images.

I got out one of my sets of square dies, these happen to be from Gina Marie and I thought it looked like a picture frame and I liked the idea of being able to stamp my sentiment across the top since it looks like a banner. Once I got everything cut out I glued it down using Lawn Fawn’s adhesive which has quickly become one of my faves. I stamped my sentiment using VersaFine in Black Onyx and also blinged up a few things using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker. Once I got my sentiment in place I added a few silver glossy dots from Pink & Main.

I used a white pen to hit the bunnies’ teeth and then a black gel pen to do their eyes and though I would do one little guys mouth. Then things went awry! My black gel pen just put out much more ink than I was expecting or maybe I pressed too hard and that’s why the calamity began I am still not sure. I just know that I panicked and tried to fix it with my finger and the more I touched things the more things just went worse! That’s when I knew it was time to call up another bunny and put this little guy out of his misery.

The surgery went a lot easier than I expected and I was even able to cover up any paper tears with my new little candidate. I wanted to include this part of the journey and a pic to go with it because I don’t know about y’all but rarely do I make a card without having something that needs to be fixed. I will say I don’t typically lose an entire character but hey, it happens.

In the end it all came together and at least I got to use my favorite little bunny which is the one in the center. The little brown bunny eating a chocolate bunny, this image cracks me up!!! In my head when I see this little guy chowing down on that chocolate bunny all I hear is “Nom, nom, nom, nom!”

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you will get the chance to create today or at least do something that you’ve been wanting to do! Take care and I hope to see you back here soon.

      Keep on Crafting,

      Kim 🙂
