      Hello there crafters!

Kim here from @CardmakingBlond, thank you so much for joining me today on the blog to check out what I came up with using a few Fall ingredients from SFL. I will give the rundown on what was used for this card and also include links to the items as well. Just in case you haven’t heard there is a STORE WIDE 30% OFF SALE GOING ON!

      Here we go:

      • patterned papers are from SFL’s “In the Desert” paper pad this pad is full of great colors and images that make me think of Fall as well as the desert
      • stamped the image out from Paper Sweeties stamp set “Sweater Weather” using memento ink in Rich Cocoa
      • colored the image in with Copic markers
      • cut out the “Autumn Blessings” sentiment with SFL’s die
      • added in some sequins from my stash that I received in a previous Flavor of the Month card kit
      • added some sparkle to the mug with a Nuvo Aqua shimmer pen
      • placed a little glossy accents over the coffee in the coffee cup (mine is coffee your’s can be whatever you like)

I am so happy with the way this card came out! All the different patterns and colors are just enough to keep it interesting without overwhelming the stamped image. I hope you are enjoying the Fall season so far! Here in Florida the weather is downright pleasant!

Thanks again for taking a minute to stop by and see what has been going on in my neck of the woods. I hope you take some time for yourself and get some crafting or cardmaking in. Don’t forget the STORE CLOSING sale going on right now!

      Keep on creating,

      Kim 🙂

Hello there, it’s Stacy from Craftaholicmomma up today on the Scrapping for Less blog with two cards featuring the Floral Patches 6×6 Paper Pad by Scrapping for Less.

The patterns in this collection are so beautiful they don’t need a whole lot of extras. They’re stunning enough on their own.

I used a sentiment stamp set by The Greeting Farm and various sizes of EK Success Circle punches, both from my stash. The glitter strip is a peel off from Love From Lizi, also from my stash. Tangy Orange Cardstock from Scrapping for Less layers the pattern papers beautifully.

      Thanks for visiting,

    • Hi Friends!

      Hey crafty friends!

Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde sharing a card I made using several goodies from SFL. This time of year I find myself wanting to make Fall, Halloween, and Christmas cards. What I don’t typically find is enough time, am I right? The card I am sharing with you today has the colors that make me think of Fall and the critters too.

Here is a rundown of what went into making this card:

      • SFL Stamp “Forest Friends”
      • SFL Paper Pad “Always Changing”
      • colored with Copic markers
      • stamped in Gina K. amalgam black ink
      • stamped sentiment in Versafine black onyx ink

This card came together very easily and would have been a quick card but I decided to fussy cut out the figures instead of using my Scan n Cut which I almost immediately regretted. Those moose antlers are no joke! I love the way it turned out and look forward to sending it on to some friends.

Thank you for stopping in today, I hope you will make some time for yourself and get creative.

      Keep on creating,

      Kim 🙂

      Hello everyone!

Kim here from @CardmakingBlonde sharing with you one of my all time favorite SFL stamps “Teresa Talks Fall”. So many things to love about this time of year: pumpkin flavored everything, cooler air (in Florida we don’t get crisp air until at least January), & Fall decorations.

Here’s the run down on this week’s card:

      • used kraft paper as a base
      • cut out a tag with a die from Gina Marie Designs
      • stamped images from SFL’s “Teresa Talks Fall” stamp set out in Memento ink Rich Cocoa
      • colored image in with Copic markers and also colored the “glow” around the image with Copic markers as well
      • stamped the sentiment with VersaFine ink in Crimson Red
      • the background papers are from SFL’s “Neutrals Vol. 1”
      • inked the edges of the tag with Chestnut Roan chalk ink
      • tied twine on the top of the tag

I am super pleased with the way this card turned out! Thanks so much for joining me today on the blog. I hope you make some time for yourself and get crafty!

      Keep on creating,

      Kim 🙂

    • Hey There Pumpkin ~ September 2020 FOTM Card Kit ~ Sneak Peek

      Sep 25th

Hello there crafty friend! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with the last sneak peek of the September 2020 FOTM Card Kit before the reveal and hop that starts at midnight tonight!! This Fall loving girl is in love with this kit!! It’s so stinkin’ cute and just perfect for all your Fall cardmaking needs!! Enough chit chat… let’s get to the card I created!

So… if you have followed my creative card making journey at all, you may know about my obsession with teal trucks. lol… I love them so! It’s really no surprise that I just had to frame this adorable paper and make it a feature of my card! I love it!
I layered the two beautiful papers from Collection Four and adhered a stitched scallop frame that I die cut from white card stock. I stamped the Hey There Pumpkin stamp with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored it in with my Copic markers. I used the following Copic markers:
      ‘Hey There’ ~ E23
      ‘Pumpkin’ ~ BG01, BG10, BG45, BG57
      Pumpkin ~ YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, E21, E23, E27
I then fussy cut around the image and sentiment and then adhered it to a white stitched oval. I then popped that up on the card and finished it off with a few enamel dots. You can check out my process video below…

I am just loving how this card turned out. It has me dreaming about cooler days with leaves changing colors and falling leaves. *sigh*  Do you love Fall too? Let me know in the comments what’s your favorite part of the Fall season.
Don’t forget about the reveal and hop tonight at midnight, but be sure to snatch up your card kit before then!! You do not want to miss out on this one!!
That’s it for me this week! I’ll see you in two weeks with an adorable set of cards using Collection Two from the card kit!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
      See ya next time.
      Inky Hugs,
      Crystal

    • Sneak Peek Week: Thursday!

Posted at 11:07 am by kimmyfsmithyahoocom

      Hello, hello!

Kim here from @cardmakingblonde here today wishing you Fall Blessings!

Here in Florida we have seen temps dipping into the 80’s so Fall has officially arrived! We joke about it but if you are either from here or if you’ve lived here long enough there really is a change in the feel and smell of the air that tells you Fall is here. I still wish we had the changing leaves but alas, you can’t have it all right?

I’m thrilled to be sharing a sneak peek from SFL’s Flavor of the Month September 2020 card kit: Orchards and Patches. Using the stencil from the Banana Split ingredients and elements out of collection two: Apple Orchard Pickin’ I created the card below.

Here’s the run down on how this card came together:

-stenciled the apples with distress oxide inks using a sponge dauber for the apple and cotton swabs for the leaf and twig

-held stencil and paper together with Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART Stay-tion-All-In-One Magnetic Surface (I LOVE this tool and find myself using stencils more frequently now that I have it.)

-used Bristol Smooth paper which the Distress Oxide inks go on like a dream

-created a background with the apples then used an aqua shimmer pen by Nuvo to add some glimmer

-the sentiment in the center is from the paper in the Apple Orchard Pickin’ collection, there is a sheet of cut aparts

-popped that sentiment up with foam adhesive

-used the twine also included in the collection to wrap around the card and add a bow before gluing the panel down to the card base

There will be one more sneak peek tomorrow and then the BLOG HOP! I look forward to seeing what the rest of the design team came up with. You have two ways to get your Flavor of the Month card kit.

      1. Sign up for a subscription now so you don’t have to worry about a sell out
      2. Wait for the kit to reveal at midnight EST on September 26th and grab a one time purchase (this one is a little risky but no judgement if you enjoy living on the edge a little ha, ha!)

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today for this sneak peek! I look forward to seeing you at the hop and hope you are enjoying a nice Fall so far!

      Just keep creating,

      Kim 🙂

    • Mad 4 Plaid Thanksgiving Card

Hi Everyone!  Luci here from My Crazy Craft Life with a sweet Thanksgiving card using PhotoPlay Mad 4 Plaid Fall Stamp Set, Darice Sticky Gold Glitter Paper, and Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood Paper Pad.

You can check out my process video HERE!

      20191101_205459

This is an A2 size card or 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches.  I used a dark brown card base from my stash.  I stamped the leaves on the back of the glitter paper and scanned through my Scan N Cut, then I flipped the glitter paper over so the glitter side was facing up and let the machine cut out the images.  I stamped the images of the fox and acorn from the stamp set and colored them with Copic markers (colors in the photo below).  I didn’t color the leaf of the acorn because I stamped that on the back of the Glitter paper and cut it too.

Once I finished up the images I used the Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood Paper Pad and cut the back panel in orange to 4 X 5 1.4 inches.  The turquoise colored piece was 4 X 3/4 inches.  The used dies from a Karen Burniston set to cut the yellow background piece and the light brown scalloped edge piece of pattern paper and layered all the pieces onto the card.

I stamped the sentiment on the top of the top panel of the card, adhered the acorn and used foam tape on the fox and placed it on the card.

      That’s it!  Easy Peasy!

    • Fall is Coming at Scrapping For Less!

Hi all! I hope you are finding yourself easing into a wonderful weekend. I am up today with a couple of cards I made with September’s Flavor of the Month Kit. I was so excited to get my hands on this kit and I had to MAKE myself step away from it because you know, life.

As soon as I opened my kit I dug into the Frightful Collection. I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I wish it was a tradition to send Halloween cards to friends and family like it is to send Christmas cards because Halloween cards are so much fun to make. This card came together so quickly with the cute little die cut characters included in the collection. I had such a hard time choosing which one to use, then I had a group and then I let the sketch dictate who made it on the card. For the card below I used the Paper Play Sketches #52.

      sflblogpost10052019

The next card is from the Cozy Fall Collection. I pulled the paper out and looked it over and immediately I wanted to paper piece that sweater stamp…and then I realized that wasn’t going to work because it is a stamp stamp. Then I thought..ooh yes I can so I traced the stamp and paper pieced it anyway. I love it when what you see in your head works out! Sketch #194 from Operation Write Home was the one used for the card below.     Often when card making I find myself always reaching for the same ink to stamp a sentiment but this time I reached for blue ink and I knew it had been too long since I had changed things up because of the level of excitement I felt at using another color. sflblogpost10052019b

I am looking forward to digging into the other two collections which I’ll post those cards on my instagram account at @cardmakingblonde. Below will be the links to the Double Dip and Banana Split kits which are down into the single digits so get one while you can!
