Hello crafty friends! Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde with a card I have been wanting to make for soooo long! Now with a bit more time on my hands thanks to Social Distancing I have gotten the chance. When I first saw this stamp I literally gasped because I thought it was so beautiful! So here are the two card I made with the Wonderful World by Gina K Designs:
Using VersaFine ink I stamped the image and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then colored in the image using Zig Clean Real Brush Markers and a water pen. Heat embossed the sentiment on velum paper. I tried several different colors of embossing powder and this was the easiest to read. Unfortunately it does not show up well in the pic, it reads: “The World Is A Better Place Because You’re In It”
I made an A2 size card or 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches, I cut a panel to 5 1/4 X 4 inches for the scene. I made some masks for the images, and I stamped and masked as I went, using Momento Tuxedo Black Ink for stamping the images I was going to color.
I drew in lines for the cabana, horizon, and beach with a pencil before I started ink blending and then colored the images. After I finish coloring and blending I stamped and embossed the sentiment. I added the glossy accents, the Sparkle Pen for the reflection of the sunset on the water. After it dried I adhered the panel to the card base and used a black Zig Marker to outline the wires on the string lights.
Hello and Season’s Greetings to you all! I hope you are having a good December and are busy making memories with friends and loved ones. Today I want to share with you a little card with a grande message. ( I know, I know but I love punny.)Grande-Sized Love from My Favorite Things clear stamp.
This pure innocence girl from MFTis incredibly versatile. You could use it for a thank you card, birthday card, I love you card and of course she would be adorable on a card containing a gift card especially if that gift card was for a place that served coffee. I kept things pretty simple wanting her to take center stage on the card. Here is the run down of what I did and what I used to do it:
This card is bright and cheery and a perfect thank you for me to give to a fellow coffee lover who really is always there to pick me up. I really do love the pure innocence collection from My Favorite Things and am so excited to add this little gal to my collection. Thank you for spending some time with me today on the blog and hope you are carving out a little time for yourself to do something crafty.
Hello hello! Kim here bringing you a card I made with an elegant die from Find It Trading, Christmas Baubles. This delicate die cuts out very nicely, a little tip though if you do like I did and use glitter paper also use a shim it’ll give you a smoother cut. The glitter paper I used is self adhesive which makes it even more user friendly in my opinion. I used silver glitter paper and gold glitter paper because I thought they would really stand out against the red and I was very pleased with how it turned out.
Now I like the baubles a whole lot but I definitely agree that they are not able to carry the whole card but I also wanted them to really stand out. I decided to use MFT’s Merry Christmas Greeting stamp and embossed it in white embossing powder. With this large sentiment offset it left a good amount of space for the Christmas Baubles to fit right in beside it. I adhered it all down to a card front with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and with all the glitteriness (not a real word I know) of the baubles I felt it was finished. Yay! One card down and oh so many more to go, good thing I love making Christmas cards right?
Thanks so much for stopping in and checking out the blog today. I hope you get to do something for yourself.
Hi Everyone! Luci here with a few cards using the Picket Fence Studios “String of Lights” stamp set.
I love how simple yet lovely these cards were!
To start I picked out A2 size card bases from my stash, cut down white cardstock panels to 4 X 5 1/4 inches. Then I stamped the images and sentiment together using my Mini Misti and Brutus Monroe embossing ink. I picked red, silver, gold, and green embossing powders and heat embossed them. I adhered the card panels to the card bases. Then I simply added some embellishments for one I used sequins from an old SFL FOTM card kit and the rest I used Nuvo Crystal Nuvo Drops, the colors I used were Autumn Red and Silver Lining. Easy Peasy right!
I die cut the pattern paper panel with a scallop stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I stamped the sweet little fairy out with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink and colored her in with my Copic Markers. I hand fussy cut her out and popped her up on the card with adhesive foam squares. Her wings and dress have a touch of sparkle to them with a clear glitter sparkle marker.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Today I am sharing with you what I made with the Some Bunny stamp set from Lawn Fawn. This type of stamp set is my favorite! It can be used for friendship, thank you, love and of course Easter. I wanted to make a card for a friend who went above and beyond for me and the sentiment on this card is just perfect.
cut out the little characters by fussy cutting them then went around the edges with a black marker to give a more finished look
using a 6x6 paper pad from my stash I used a green sheet that could work for the ground and a blue sheet that could work for the sky even though they have patterns on them
in order to give this card a bit of dimension I put pop dots on the back of the planter and tucked the carrots in behind it
after stamping the sentiment in Versafine Ink black onyx I covered it with clear embossing powder and hit it with a heat tool to get that shiny look (I hope it comes through in the picture)
I had stamped out the images a couple of times in case I messed one up and had a little bunny that didn’t make it in the scene on the front of the card so I decided to add him to the inside (when I can I like to do something to the inside). This card was fun to make and while making this one I came up with a few more idea for other cards, hence the reason I LOVE this stamp set, there are just so many different scenes to create with it!
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you are having a great Friday and are headed into a fabulous weekend!
Newton’s Nook has been a favorite company of mine for years now and I am super excited to get to play with one of their stamps! Company of Cats is such a cute and clever image and I had a blast coloring all the different kitties. This stamp set could not have come into my life at a more perfect time because just a few weeks ago my husband and I adopted a kitten. Ember weighed less than three pounds when we brought her home and she is growing like wild fire!
We are both just smitten with her! She is sweet and loves to be loved and it has been so much fun to watch her play and explore as she grows. Our dog on the other hand is a little afraid of her still and tries to pretend she doesn’t exist but as I said it’s only been a few weeks so hopefully they will become friends eventually. Now back to the card…
Here’s a quick run down of what I did while creating this card:
I didn’t want to detract from the kitties so I added a sentiment to the inside of the card only so the Company of Cats would get the majority of the attention. I embossed it with VersaMark ink pad and used white detail embossing powder on the sentiment stamp.
I had so much fun coloring this stamp and thinking of all the different cats out there in the world. I will admit though Ember is my favorite cat in the world but I am a little biased.
Thanks so much for stopping today and spending a little time with me. I hope you have an amazing day and take the chance to create something today!
