Hello my crafty friends! It’s Kim here with a stamp set that I have been chomping at the bit to use! The images are the epitome of cozy and of all days here in Florida it is actually cold today! High of 68 degrees (yes that’s cold here). So here’s a run down of what I did with today’s card:

      557642PR

      • used Winter Wear stamp by Concord & 9th
      • stamped images out in Gina K Amalgam Ink in whisper

      sflblogpost11142019b

      • used Nuvo Glimmer Paste in moonstone on the Carta Bella stencil Our Home Shiplap

      sflblogpost11142019c

      •  colored the image in with Copic Markers (ugh you will see in the pics I managed to show you three colors I used and then I was so focused on coloring I forgot to show any more!)

      sflblogpost11142019d

      • got out a sheet of patterned paper to use for my 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ from Scrapping For Less’ Nordic Winter paper pad
      • cut down my shiplap paper to 4″x5 1/4″ and adhered it onto the Nordic Winter sheet with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive (QUICK TIP: keep a sewing needle or strait pin nearby to unclog the tip)
      • used a rounded stitched rectangle die to cut out the image
      • finished by adding the sentiment in Versafine Ink and adding Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen

This was my first attempt at a “no line” coloring and I’m liking how it turned out so I definitely think I will try again, practice makes perfect, right? Thank you so much for stopping in and checking out this card. I hope you get the chance to get crafty today!

      Keep on crafting,

      Kim 🙂

Hi all! I hope you are finding yourself easing into a wonderful weekend. I am up today with a couple of cards I made with September’s Flavor of the Month Kit. I was so excited to get my hands on this kit and I had to MAKE myself step away from it because you know, life.

As soon as I opened my kit I dug into the Frightful Collection. I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I wish it was a tradition to send Halloween cards to friends and family like it is to send Christmas cards because Halloween cards are so much fun to make. This card came together so quickly with the cute little die cut characters included in the collection. I had such a hard time choosing which one to use, then I had a group and then I let the sketch dictate who made it on the card. For the card below I used the Paper Play Sketches #52.

The next card is from the Cozy Fall Collection. I pulled the paper out and looked it over and immediately I wanted to paper piece that sweater stamp…and then I realized that wasn’t going to work because it is a stamp stamp. Then I thought..ooh yes I can so I traced the stamp and paper pieced it anyway. I love it when what you see in your head works out! Sketch #194 from Operation Write Home was the one used for the card below.     Often when card making I find myself always reaching for the same ink to stamp a sentiment but this time I reached for blue ink and I knew it had been too long since I had changed things up because of the level of excitement I felt at using another color. sflblogpost10052019b

I am looking forward to digging into the other two collections which I’ll post those cards on my instagram account at @cardmakingblonde. Below will be the links to the Double Dip and Banana Split kits which are down into the single digits so get one while you can!

Thanks so much for stopping in and checking out September’s Flavor of the Month Kit “Fall is Coming!” and have a great weekend!
