    • Where IS the Coffee?

Sprinkles the bunny is desperately seeking caffeine in the above image. Too cute!

Hello card makers and crafters alike, so glad you are here!

Today I (Kim) am sharing this cute little bunny “Sprinkles” from Your Next Stamp. She is desperate need of caffeine and speaks to my spirit as a coffee lover for sure. The patterned paper is a blast from the past by SFL. I got so excited when I found it in my stash!

I really wanted the cute bunny butt to take center stage because the above image and the sentiment just make me laugh and that is what I wanted for the recipient of this card. I hope it brings them a chuckle.

      There’s that sweet face!

The two images I used and all the sentiments are part of this one stamp set by Your Next Stamp “Sprinkles Coffee and Tea”. The sentiment on the inside of the card completely pulls at my heart strings and I cannot wait to give this card to a friend.

I colored the images with Copic Markers and when finished I just HAD to add some sparkle with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker. The finishing touch was to add some sequins from a previous Flavor of the Month Card Kit and voila, it was complete.

Thanks so much for joining me here on the blog today, I hope you have any easy time finding your favorite go to pick me up!

      Just keep creating,

      Kim 🙂

    • SNEAK for June 2019 FOTM

Posted at 12:01 am by Katie Williams
      Jun 27th

Good Morning and Happy Thursday fellow crafters!

Katie here from 2CraftyKaties to share a sneak from the June 2019 Flavor of the Month kit!

I used the stamps and paper from collection 3.

When I saw the otters and then the sentiment I instantly thought of Yin and Yang!  So, I VERY carefully stamped them together and used my scan and cut to get this image!  I used the following copic markers on the otters and in the space between them (I didn’t want the white space to be a focal point); BG23, E11, E25, E33, E35.

The layout was inspired by this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #509:

Remember to share your June “Under the Sea Babies” Flavor of the Month Card Kit creations with us and use the hashtag #FOTMundertheseababies in your social media!  We will pick someone who uses that hashtag and highlight them on all of Scrapping for Less’ social media. We want to see what you make!”

    • La-la Land Crafts with Pink & Main ~ Unicorn Marci on Watercolor Foil

Posted at 9:00 am by Crystal O. Minkler
      May 10th

      Hi there crafty peeps!

Crystal here sharing an adorable card today using Unicorn Marci and some absolutely beautiful paper from Pink & Main called Watercolor Foil.

I shared a card last week using Unicorn Marci… you can check out that card here —> Unicorn Marci with Coffee Distress Oxide Watercolor card! I watercolored my card for last week, but for this week I wanted to use bright colors to coordinate the beautiful Watercolor Foil papers so I stamped Unicorn Marci using Gina K Designs Amalgam black ink and then colored her in using the following Copic markers:

      Skin ~ E000, E21, E51, R20

      Hair ~ E42, E43, E44, Y21

      Pajamas ~ RV10, RV14, RV17, RV25, N0, N1

      Slipper boots ~ N0, N1, Colorless Blender

I die cut the Watercolor Foil papers and adhered them to a white card base. I then fussy cut Unicorn Marci and set her aside. I die cut some clouds that I lightly sponged with some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink but any blue oxide ink would work. There happens to be this ink in the shop —> Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink… which would work just as well when lightly sponged on.

I adhered the die cut clouds with liquid glue so I could adjust them quickly before they set. I popped up my fussy cut Unicorn Marci with foam tape. I then stamped the cute sentiment on white card stock with Gina K Designs Amalgam black ink, fussy cut a flag, and then popped it up on the card. I just love that beautiful shine from the foil in the Watercolor Foil papers! So pretty! I sure hope you’ve enjoyed my card!

Thanks for checking out my blog post!

      See ya next time.

      Inky Hugs,

      Crystal

    • Gina K Designs Through Thick and Thin: No-Line Copic Coloring

Posted at 8:45 am by infoscrappingforless
      Apr 3rd

Hi crafters and welcome.  Today I am using the “Through Thick and Thin” stamp set by Gina K Designs to do some no-line Copic Coloring, which can be very scary.

I stamped my image using second generation stamping with a Copic safe Ink to give a very faint outline but one that I can see well enough to do my coloring.  I did a bit of masking to stamp my flower and leaves multipole time.

I colored my flowers using a 4 color blend concentrating on the details within the image itself to guide me as to where I need to put my shading and details.

I created a drop shadow and a frame around my images and added my sentiment.  I finished off the card with a few Dream Drops by Nuvo.

Be sure to check out the video for more information.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative and crafty day!

    • Copic Coloring Young Love by Penny Black

      Mar 24th

Hi crafters.  I hope you are having a great weekend getting inky!!.  I am stopping by today with a project using the Young Love stamp set by Penny Black.

This image is adorable and full of so much detail, it is perfect for any level of colorist.  I left the card pretty simple as the image pretty much can carry an entire card on its own.

I colored the image and die cut it out with a stitched square die.  I layered that onto a piece of Kraft Cardstock and created a square card at 5x5.

Be sure to check out the video for tips and tricks on coloring this image.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative and crafty day!

    • Stamping Bella “Bianca Loves Her Big Cake” and Coloring with Nuvo Drops

Posted at 9:00 am by Luci Manos
      Mar 18th

Hi Everyone!  Luci here from My Crazy Craft Life with a card made from coloring with Copic Markers and Nuvo Drops/Stickles.  The stamp is from Stamping Bella Uptown Girl group “Bianca Loves Her Big Cake“.

After I stamped the image with Hero Arts Intense Black ink I colored the cake, Bianca, and the tray with Copic Markers.  Once I finished up with that I used Nuvo Drops and Stickles to color in the icing, filling and the little cherry on top of the piece Bianca is holding.  I was little worried the Nuvo Drops/Stickles might run and bleed into the rest of the card!  It didn’t and loved how it turned out.

I cut out the image with my Scan N Cut and then cut out the inside areas with an xacto knife. Pick out my papers, decided on the design, and stamped a sentiment on a banner with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink from the Paper Smooches “Salutations” set.  Finally, I added a few sequins to finish off the card.  Check out the video below for all the details!

    • Heffy Doodle Party Palooza Spinner Card

Posted at 9:00 am by Lynnea Hollendonner
      Mar 10th

Hey, everyone! It’s Lynnea! I have a super fun card using the Heffy Doodle Party Palooza stamp set from Scrapping for Less! I have a video at the end of this post, so scroll down to watch it! This is my first spinner card and I’m obsessed!

I started by stamped out the cake and candle image twice onto Copic friendly paper and coloring them with the markers pictured below. I barely used any markers and tried my best to keep my coloring simple! It’s important to select images that are symmetrical when creating a spinner card because you need to glue the images back to back. The candles had a little wax drip coming off the left side making them unsymmetrical, so after I stamped them I used a Copic safe pen to draw a straight line down the side of the candle eliminating the drip. This is better seen in the video below.

I used simple blending techniques and only 2 markers per color. Then I cut out my images right up against the black line and used a marker to go around the outside of the image to eliminate the white core of the paper that shows.

I wanted to add some interest to my background, so I used the Altenew Wave Builder stencil and some Cracked Pistachio and Scattered Straw Distress ink to create my stenciled background. I temporarily adhered my background to a white card base and die cut a circle through both my background and my card front. Now to create the spinner mechanism I glued a piece of clear thread to the top and bottom of the circle on the back of the stenciled background. Then I sandwiched the string between my two cake images. Make sure to use super strong adhesive when gluing the cakes back to back. This is the main focus of the card and you don’t want it to fall apart!

I adhered the white frame to the card front and adhere the stenciled background to the card base. Then I used some black ink to stamp the sentiment from the Party Palooza stamp set. All that’s left to do is wind up the cake and open the card and watch it spin!

You know I’m a fan of creating bonus cards! I had this cute die cut circle left over from my spinner card, so I popped it up with foam onto the front of another card and quickly colored another cake to be my focal image. I already had the sentiment set up in my MISTI so it was no problem to just stamp it again! Check out my video below!
