Both of these are A2 size cards or 4 1/4 X 5 1/2. I blended Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet and for the white card, I used Mermaid Lagoon and Faded Jeans for the body. After I blended the oxides over the stencil on the white card I cut out a mask so I could add the blues to the body. I used a couple different gel pen colors for the beak area but really didn’t like how that turned out, I finally went over it in black gel pen. I added a sentiment to a white strip that was the same width as the card. and I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen on every feather and the body. For the black card after I blended the oxide inks over the stencil I used clear shimmer spray over the entire card and the added a fishtailed banner the same width as the card with a sentiment.
Good Morning and Happy Thursday fellow crafters! Katie here from 2CrafyKaties to share with you a card using Kaisercraft “Wood Camping” Icons and Scrapping for Less Paper pack in collection #2 of this month’s FOTM kit!
Here is what I created:
First, I need to apologize.
Teresa and Kim have this AMAZING card kit and
they pack in a TON of goodies and I have been playing safe. I have not been using all the embellishment’s
in the kit. So, for my sneak I stepped
out of my comfort zone and used the Kaisercraft “Wood Camping” Icon pieces. I will admit that I scrap lifted the
idea/layout from Stacy (here). I also
used a die that did NOT come in the kit.
Hurry and grab this kit because it’s ADORABLE!
Good Morning and Happy Thursday fellow crafters! Katie here from 2CrafyKaties to share with you a card using Sunny Studio Stamps “Summer Picnic” and Echo Park’s 6x6 “Good Day Sunshine” paper pad! This month’s theme uses products that focus on celebrating the outdoors, nature, camping, and being under the stars!

I love sketches! I have a few favorites that I check out every week. As I was getting ready to create this card, I had no idea what I was going to make. Sketches to the rescue! I started (and finished) with Sketch Saturday #572!
Be sure to check out the video for all the details HERE!
I started out by using the background stamp on the Tim Holtz Travel Platform with Hero Arts Inks in Ombre Mint to Green, Soft Purple, Soft Pool, Pool, and Deep Ocean and layered the colors stamping multiple times.
Next, I used the solid tree stamp in the Critter Campout set to create a tree line and then used the Scan N Cut DX to cut the image out with black cardstock. I used a piece of blue mulberry and blue vellum from Die Cuts with A View, they were old mat stacks I had in my stash, and a piece of green cardstock I cut them down to fit within the scene and layered the vellum over the mulberry. I cut out a border on the green cardstock for the border of the lake and grass and I stamped the grass outline with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink all over. I cut the sky background down to 5 1/4 in. X 4 in. and glued all of the pieces down to create the scene.
I colored a couple of the critters and the campfire from the stamp set with Studio 71 markers and used the Scan N Cut to cut them out. Then glued them onto the scene. I glued the panel to a black card base. I used two of the stickers from the Paper House “At the Lake” sticker set for the sentiment on the inside and front panel. To finish it off I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen on all of the stars in the sky and then to create a pooling effect in the water.

I was once again inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video. This video is about “Bridge Cards.” This is a free-standing card that can display a scene or a message/sentiment. I used a cloud die to create a cloud like stencil and I used the Ranger Distress ink “Stormy Sky” to created clouds on the card base. I had pre-stamped my images and cut them out with my Brother Scan n’ Cut. After the card base was finished, I used the “Peeled Paint” Ranger Distress ink to create a grassy area. I colored all my images with copic markers (listed below) and then assembled.
