    • Kimberly | Design Team Tribute Week

Posted at 7:51 pm by Stacy Tiedemann
      Dec 10th

Where do I start?  Lol. Kim is a hoot!  I’ve known Kim since the beginning of Scrapping for Less. We’ve been on 3 trips together to attend Creativation in Phoenix.  She’s a super sweet, fun and carefree person.

During the pandemic Kim, Teresa and I have FaceTimed an average of a couple of times a week. We generally chat and craft together, making cards. We love to follow and recreate other artist’s sketches of our favorite collections and come up with original designs ourselves.

It’s been ay real joy to get to know her and I consider her a dear friend.

      Hugs,

      Stacy

This has to be the hardest tribute to write. As some of you may know Kim was my business partner for a while in SFL…Amazing times! But I want to share the memory of when she decided it was time for her to step down. We have this little saying between the two of us “brutal honesty” which simply means we can tell each other anything. I could sense she was needing to step down but she didn’t want to tell me…so I asked, Brutal Honesty? NOTHING can damage this friendship if you want to step back ok? Well, it just so happened that was the trigger she was waiting for. So, although Kim has not been a partner for the last year and a half she has been a valued Design Team member!

There are so many examples of her loyalty and dedication I could pull from. She is absolutely the best friend and I am very thankful that she exists in my life!

I Love you to the Moon and Back!

      ~Teresa

Here are some of our favorite cards of Kim’s.

    • Time to Bloom Wildly

      Hello fellow crafters!

Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde sharing with you more cards I was able to make from March’s Flavor of the Month card kit. Today I am showing off the cards from the Bloom Wildly collection. I am going by the name of the paper pad collection because that is what I’m using even though I used stamps from the other collections in the kit as well. I had to jump onto scrappingforless.com and order more of this paper because I had such a hard time choosing which side to use because I love it all!

      sflblog04162020sflblog04162020bsflblog04162020csflblog04162020dsflblog04162020esflblog04162020f

Another collection OBLITERATED! It was so much fun and I may have a bit of a hard time parting with these cards. It’s okay though I have more paper pads coming and I will be able to make more. As always I so appreciate you coming to read the blog. Please take care of each other and get your craft on!

      Keep on crafting,

      Kim 🙂

    • More Fun with Farmhouse Floral

      Apr 9th

      Hello crafty friends!

Kim from Cardmaking Blonde joining you, I hope today finds you well. Playing with March’s Flavor of the Month Card kit has been so much fun! The ingredients that I received in the Farmhouse Floral collection have been OBLITERATED! The only thing left is the stamp.

Here is what I came up with…

      sflblog04092020c

You may notice that I also used the banana split ingredients. My kit had the leaf vine die which I used to cut out of vellum and then colored that vellum with Copic Marker to go with the paper I used. Also used some sequins and enamel dots. The tag above is actually an entire card (didn’t occur to me until right now to take a pic of it opened so you could see it better).

If I could I would turn this paper into bed sheets I think it is so beautiful, I just don’t get tired of looking at it! Thank you for taking the time to visit the blog today. I hope you are getting to craft, read or something that makes you happy. Also try to get outside for a bit as well if you can.

      Take care,

      Kim 🙂

    • FOTM Card Kit Inspiration

      Hello & Happy Thursday!

Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde with some further inspiration created using February’s card kit. I am in love with the papers, the ephemera and I CANNOT STOP EMBOSSING  THESE IMAGES! I had to literally make myself get up from my desk and stop making cards because it was time to get dinner started. Several hours had gone by and I was so busy creating I didn’t realize how much time had passed. So here they are I hope you enjoy them and I hope you grab yours before they are gone!

      sflblog03122020b

This gal is just stunning, whether inked, embossed or colored this stamp set is incredibly versatile. The paper is beautiful and feminine and she looks stunning in gold!

      sflblog03122020

Shaker cards are fun and the paper in this collection takes the cupcake! I wanted to show off the paper and could not bear to cover it up and I thought creating a shaker card with this scalloped frame would be a great way to do that. Using Nuvo drops I added a little sparkle and interest to the wood icon cupcake, teapot and cup of tea. Filled the shaker with sequins of colors that are in the paper.

Thank you so much for taking a little time today to come see what we are up to over here at SFL. We are having so much fun with this kit over here on the blog, if you haven’t seen it already take a peek at past blog posts for even more inspiration. My fellow design teammates are incredibly talented!

      Keep on Crafting,

      Kim 🙂

    • Cheerful Daisies & Spring Subursts

Posted at 8:00 am by Kimberly Smith
      Feb 13th

      Hi crafty friends!

Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde sharing some items from Sunny Studio Stamps’ new release. This card relies heavily on the Spring Sunburst paper pad as that is the main background. The sunburst is just so happy!

Along the bottom I added a border created using Sunny Studio Snippets Eyelet Lace Borders. I only used one out of the three that come in the set. Then I added the sentiment from theCheerful Daisies stamp setand it looked like it needed something else so I stamped one of the daisies in Lawn Fawn’s Premium Dye Ink.

Thanks so much for spending some time with us today. I hope you get to do some crafting   and get some time for yourself.

      Keep on Crafting,

      Kim 🙂
