Hey, everyone! My family spent this past week at the lake, so it’s super fitting that this month’s theme from Scrapping for Less is camping and outdoors!
The Winston’s Lake House stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs is SO cute! There are so many cute scene building stamps! I almost went with a lake scene – but the little bear and cabin images just spoke to me!
This card came together super quickly with just a bit of masking! I stamped my sentiment first and then the bear image. When masking it’s important to remember to stamp whatever image you want to be in front first! I stamped the bear image onto masking paper and cut it out with scissors and placed it over my original stamped image and stamped my lake house. When I removed the masking paper it looks like the lake house is set behind the little bear! I used my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers to color them in.
I didn’t to much to embellish the card – just some gems and clear glitter! Check out my video below!
Good Morning and Happy Thursday fellow crafters! Katie here from 2CrafyKaties to share with you a card using Sunny Studio Stamps “Summer Picnic”! This month’s theme uses products that focus on celebrating the outdoors, nature, camping, and being under the stars!
Here is what I created:
I was once again inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video. This video is about “Bridge Cards.” This is a free-standing card that can display a scene or a message/sentiment. I used a cloud die to create a cloud like stencil and I used the Ranger Distress ink “Stormy Sky” to created clouds on the card base. I had pre-stamped my images and cut them out with my Brother Scan n’ Cut. After the card base was finished, I used the “Peeled Paint” Ranger Distress ink to create a grassy area. I colored all my images with copic markers (listed below) and then assembled.
Hey, there! It’s Lynnea! I’m so excited about this month’s theme from Scrapping for Less – Under the Stars! I created a cute little critter campfire scene! And scroll down to see the video!
I this this little scene is super cute, don’t you?! I started by cutting down some patterned papers from the Photoplay Campfire & Lakeside 6 x 6 patterned paper pad for my background. I fell in LOVE with the star background paper as soon as I saw it! And I love using patterns as grass. I think it makes things super fun! I stamped and colored the critters from the Lawn Fawn Love You S’more stamp set. I also stamped a bunch of trees for my background!
Once I had everything cut out I started assembling my card. I tucked the trees behind the patterned paper foreground and popped up my campfire and critters. I stamped my sentiment with brown ink and trimmed the ends to banner edges.
A bit of glitter over my critters and randomly in the starry background finished off my card! I hope you enjoy the video!
Katie here from 2CraftyKaties to share a sneak from the June 2019 Flavor of the Month kit!
I used the stamps and paper from collection 3.
When I saw the otters and then the sentiment I instantly thought of Yin and Yang! So, I VERY carefully stamped them together and used my scan and cut to get this image! I used the following copic markers on the otters and in the space between them (I didn’t want the white space to be a focal point); BG23, E11, E25, E33, E35.

Hey, everyone! It’s Lynnea! Are you ever just in the mood to stamp? No frills, no fuss – just stamping? I LOVE silhouette stamps for this reason! And today I have a trio of cards that took me no time at all to make, but I was able to spice them up a bit with some multi color inking! And I have a video at the end of this post to show you just what I mean!
I used the Vitamin Sea stamp set from Echo Park for each card in the set, but I changed up the images and colors to make them interesting!
You KNOW I just HAD to make a yellow submarine! Haha! I started each card with a gray sentiment. I think gray is an underrated color for sentiments. I frequently find myself reaching for black for sentiments, but the gray makes an impact in its own way, too! To add some dimension to my stamping I started by stamping the submarine with a yellow ink using my MISTI. Without moving the stamp I inked up the bottom portion of the submarine with a darker yellow ink and used a towel to dab away some of the ink so there wouldn’t be a harsh line of ink. I did the same thing with the crab using two colors of red ink.
I repeated the same process for my second card. I stamped my sentiment first in the center of my card using gray ink. Welllll …. I tried to stamp it in the center. I was about a quarter of an inch to the right of center haha! I lined up the fish with the sentiment and stamped a light orange first and then a dark ink second using a towel to dab off some ink to create a more seamless “blend” of ink. Once all my stamping was done I chopped off a quarter of an inch from the left of my card so that the images would appear centered. That makes this card 4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall. I kind of like it!
I decided to do three colors of ink for my last card. I used a light pink for the body of the jellyfish, blue for the middle, and ending with some lavender at the bottom of the tentacles. I made sure to use a towel and dab away ink before each stamping. Be sure to watch the video below to see my multi inking technique!
Hey everyone! It’s Lynnea! Have you ever tried coloring an image with Nuvo Dream Drops? I did and the results are fantastic! I have a video for you and you can find the products I’ve used in the Scrapping for Less store!
Then came the fun part! I squeezed out some of the Indigo Eclipse Nuvo Dream Drops onto my glass work surface and picked it up with my stylus and “colored” with the Dream Drops! How cool! I love that the Dream Drops allow the stamping to show through because they are translucent.
I added some stamping to the background of my cards for interest using a My Favorite Things background stripe stamp and the stars from the Critters Ever After stamp set. Then I added my images with foam squares! Check out the video below!
Hey, everyone! It’s Lynnea! I know many of us find ourselves scrambling in November and December to create Christmas cards for friends and family. At Scrapping for Less we are celebrating Christmas all year long! Once a month we will be sharing inspiration for a Christmas card! I used the Photoplay Here Comes Santa paper pad and a sentiment from the Stocking Full of Joy stamp set from Your Next Stamp to create a set of 7 Christmas cards!
I used about 5 pieces of patterned paper to create these 7 cards! And in the end I only had 2 little strips left! And I created all 7 cards in about 20 minutes! Yay! I have a video tutorial at the end of this post so make sure you check it out!
I started by cutting up some pieces of patterned paper – some had little images (like pictured above) and some into strips of varying widths. I didn’t follow any sketches, but these are super basic layouts that can be easily replicated!
I needed a sentiment for some of the layouts and the “Happy Holidays” sentiment from the Stocking Full of Joy stamp set seemed perfect! I love the little script!
I had a bunch of strips of paper left over, so I decided to use them to create one more card! Plus I couldn’t let that little Santa image go unused!
Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a project I had a lot of fun creating.
This Picket Fence stamp set came in perfect timing. I had a coworker who has been down a bit lately, not like herself. While at work the day after this stamp set arrived I started thinking about what I could do, and I came up with this card. The next day it was on her desk when she arrived and now it hangs on her corkboard.
To make this cute card, I first stamped the Picket Fence Sympathetic Unicorn and Cloud out with Gina K Designs Black Amalgam Ink. I knew I would be using Alcohol Markers and this is a safe ink to use. I alternated colors with my markers to color the mane in a rainbow scheme.
The sentiment is stamped inside the card using the same Amalgam ink.
The background pattern paper sheet is from Bo Bunny “Believe” collection.
I stamped the sentiment on a sheet of vellum using the Amalgam ink and heat embossed using Nuvo Jet Black embossing powder. Using strategically placed liquid Multi-Medium Matte under the sentiment, cloud and unicorn
I was able to adhere the Vellum without it being seen. I finished the card off with some “Love Potion” Nuvo Dream Drops.

May’s Theme for the month is Myths and Legends
Inspiration from Teresa
I thought I would leave you today with a little bit of inspiration and a story. My absolute favorite flowers are tulips…unfortunately I live in Florida and tulips won’t grow here so I gravitate toward tulip stamps! I used the stamp set called “Timeless Tulips” from Sunny Studio Stamps to create this card. The tulips are as timeless as the myths and legends we will present this month through our card designs.
