    • Winter Fairies Birthday Card – SFL New Release

Posted at 7:00 am by Christine Patterson
      Jan 6th

Hello Everyone! Let’s just start by saying “YAY, A SFL Release”!! Today I am making a birthday card using the Winter Fairies 4×6 stamp set and pattern paper from the “Winter in Pink” 6×6 paper pad.

I first started by making my background. I stamped out the fairy image and snowflake stamp all over the rectangle card stock. I decided to color those images using the cool gray Copic Markers (C1, C3 and C5).

I also stamped the image and used a variety of Copics to color the wings, hair and skin. I also decided her dress needed some solid parts so I use Copic markers on the neck and middle of the dress. I paper pieced her dress using the pink snowflake paper from the Winter in Pink pattern paper. I adhered the pattern paper with liquid glue.

While the glue dries on my fairy, I trimmed a piece of vellum with an oval die. Basically at this point my card is ready to put together and add some finishing details. I added “White Blizzard” Nuvo drops on the rim of her hat and Enchanting Pink Glitter Nuvo drops to the left on the vellum.

On the inside, I just stamped the image with London Fog Memento Ink and added the sentiment from the stamp set “Happy Birthday”

This release is So Exciting for SFL – right now you can get all 3 items in a bundle CLICK HERE for more information.

Thank You So Much for stopping by! You can see the process video HERE on the SFL YouTube channel.

I hope you enjoy and get inspired!

Hello Everyone! Christine with Pattercrafts here with a birthday card using products from the Banana Split Level of the March Flavor of the Month! I wanted to do one more card with this kit before the April Card Kit Reveals this week. I decided to make a shaker card since it has been quite a while since I made one last.

Using these fun Mod Rectangle dies I cut down some pattern paper from Collection 2. I stamped the greeting with one of the sentiment stamps found in the “Sentiment Stamp Set” included in the banana split level package. The party hat is ephemera included in Collection 2.

Thank You So Much for stopping by today. The March Flavor of the Month Card Kit is still available if you are interested. Click Here

I hope you enjoy and get inspired!

    • Heffy Doodle ~ Gnome Matter What

      Hello crafty peeps!

Crystal here with an adorable card using Heffy Doodle’s Gnome Matter What stamp set.

      How cute are these gnomes!?!

      I just adore them! I inked them up along with a bunch of other images from this set using Memento tuxedo black ink and then colored them in using the following Copic markers: Y06, Y35, YG11, YG23, RV000, RV00, RV14, RV21, RV29, E000, E00, E11, N0, N1, N2, N5, N8, B000, B00, B02.

To build my scene I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped die and then I blended a little Tumbled Glass distress ink for my sky. I then cut a strip of patterned paper for my ‘ground’ from the Echo Park Spring Fling paper pad and also die cut the grass from the same paper pad. I adhered the grass to the back of the ‘ground’ paper and then adhered just the bottom portion of the combined papers to the scene so that I could be free to place things in amongst the grass, like the cute mushroom. I adhered all the images to create my scene and then popped up the focal panel on a white card base. To finish off the front of the card, I stamped my sentiment using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. Now, just a little tip… I should have stamped the sentiment before I popped up the focal panel, but because I used the Stamp Platform I was able to stamp the sentiment a few times to get the crisp sentiment I wanted.

The sentiment on the front of the card just keeps you hanging so I just HAD to add to the inside of the card. I combined the patterned papers again to continue the design on the inside of the card. I added another gnome… I colored several since I was on a roll. LOL

And then I stamped the sentiment for the inside of the card. I decided to add the little clock to this gnome’s hand to tie in the sentiment… so cute! Now, I got to thinking you could leave the card like this basically saying that the card is the recipient’s birthday gift. Or…

You could slide a gift card in there for just a little something… a quick gift idea!

Here’s a close up of the scene on the front of the card… I went a little crazy with the flowers, but couldn’t help myself! So many cute images to color in this set!

You can find the Heffy Doodle Gnome Matter What stamp set available in the shop!

Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!

      See ya next time.

      Inky Hugs,

      Crystal

    • Stamping Bella “Bianca Loves Her Big Cake” and Coloring with Nuvo Drops

      Mar 18th

Hi Everyone!  Luci here from My Crazy Craft Life with a card made from coloring with Copic Markers and Nuvo Drops/Stickles.  The stamp is from Stamping Bella Uptown Girl group “Bianca Loves Her Big Cake“.

After I stamped the image with Hero Arts Intense Black ink I colored the cake, Bianca, and the tray with Copic Markers.  Once I finished up with that I used Nuvo Drops and Stickles to color in the icing, filling and the little cherry on top of the piece Bianca is holding.  I was little worried the Nuvo Drops/Stickles might run and bleed into the rest of the card!  It didn’t and loved how it turned out.

I cut out the image with my Scan N Cut and then cut out the inside areas with an xacto knife. Pick out my papers, decided on the design, and stamped a sentiment on a banner with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink from the Paper Smooches “Salutations” set.  Finally, I added a few sequins to finish off the card.  Check out the video below for all the details!

    • ‘Hippo Birdie to You!’ featuring Lawn Fawn and Xcut Dies!

      Aug 28th

      Hello Everyone!

It’s Desiree here with another design team project for Scrapping for Less!  There are still MINI Kits available from Scrapping for Less from their past releases! I wanted to feature one of them for you today!

The stamp set I used is by Lawn Fawn called Year Four and is part of a mini collection exclusively here at Scrapping for Less!

I started my card by die cutting 2 images from three different card stocks available in the kit. I then created my own background pattern paper by placing my die cuts all over my panel. I then stamped my images to get them ready to use my colored pencils.

I chose a piece of vellum as my backdrop for my images so they would stand out above the background. I added simple doodles to my balloons and sequins to my Birthday Cakes! Gotta have some shimmer and sparkle, right?!?

      ENJOY!

If you want to see just how easy it is to put this card together, just click on the video link below!

    • Let’s Get ‘Fired Up!” with Pink and Main…

Posted at 1:42 pm by infoscrappingforless
      Apr 7th

      Hello Everyone!

I am here with another project for Scrapping for Less! The Pink and Main – Fired up! stamp set is just too cute! This stamp set can be used for both birthday and new baby celebrations… We all have known for some time dragons have magical powers and this stamp set proves just that! These dragons bring a smile to anyone’s face!

I stamped my images and just knew I wanted to pull out my Prismacolor pencils! I am a colored pencil girl by heart… and I love the range of shades you can get by using just one pencil! I always have to have dimension on my cards, even when I stamp directly onto my card design base, so the balloons were adhered using foam squares!

I also used pattern paper from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow pack to accent the focal panel!  Now we have a card to start any party celebration!

I hope you enjoyed this design and stick around for so much more to come!
