Hey there, it’s Beth here today! I decided to play some more with the Picnic Time collection from the June 2020 Flavor of the Month card kit, A Walk in the Park. You can view my full process video and links to products used HERE.
When I saw the strawberry and red gingham prints in this collection, I immediately thought of some pictures of my daughters picking strawberries from our garden. So, I decided to challenge myself to make a 12×12 scrapbook page, using the 6×6 papers in this collection!

I used the red gingham and turquoise polka dot papers to back my photos and then accented with the strawberry paper. I did pull a sentiment stamp from the Pond Life collection, the Be Full of Life sentiment, to stamp on my yellow tag made from a scrap of the yellow polka dot paper. I added some scrap strips I had left over to the left side of the page and cut them into fishtails. I did the same for the top right corner of the page. Then I finished off the layout with some letter stickers from my stash and sequins that came with the Banana Split Level goodies from this kit.
Next, I decided that I could make at least one more card with the paper I had left in this kit. I used the My Favorite Things Sketch #120.

I had one full sheet of paper left, that yellow gingham, so I used it as my card mat on a red cardstock cardbase. I added the turquoise and red heart pattern piece (my next largest scrap) in the center. On the left side, I added a thin strip of white cardstock to anchor the fishtail banners. I used scraps I already had as the fishtails (I only used 3 instead of the 4 that the sketch showed). I pulled another sentiment from the Pond Life collection (for some reason those were fitting better with my projects today), Hope You are Doing Well, and stamped it on a scrap of white cardstock. I ended up using a corner rounder on all 4 corners to give it a softer and rounder look. Then I added some of the clear enamel dots that came in the Picnic Time collection.
As I was looking at the scraps I had left, I decided I could piece together one more card.

I used a black cardbase this time and pieced together several of the scraps I had left into a grid-like pattern. I used a tag die (from a previous FOTM kit) and topped it with one of the ant ephemera pieces and the Missing You sentiment from this kit’s stamp set. I popped this tag up on some foam squares in the center of the card. I finished this card off with the last of those clear enamel dots. And that finished off this kit!
These projects were a lot of fun and I hope they gave you some more ideas on how to use your kit!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’re having a crafty day!
