Hi All!
Oh my goodness are you in for a treat!
May’s Flavor of the Month card kit is just beautiful. From the paper to the extras in the Banana Split card kit so many items perfect for creating encouragement cards. I chose to feature the Weather Together collection because I LOVE rainbows! The paper speaks to my childhood memories and the sentiments are just what I am wanting to say to my friends and family at this time.

Starting out with Bristol Smooth cardstock and using Distress Oxide Inks in Weathered Wood & Stormy Sky to create the clouds with the stencil included in May’s Banana Split card kit. I created the image in the center of the card in the following order. (I have to talk myself through this every time I do it.) Because I wanted the cloud to show completely it was stamped first, then masked off, next the rainbow was stamped then masked off. The last step was to stamp the sun. Using Zig Clean Color Markers I colored in all the images. I then almost ruined this one layer card by deciding to add Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker and forgetting that the Zig markers are activated by water. Thankfully I realized it early on and avoiding some strong language in the craft room, ha ha ha! The sentiment was embossed with Navy embossing powder. Cut out the main scene with a stitched rectangle die and placed on a card front size patterned paper from the Weather Together patterned paper.
We have one more sneak peek before the release of the entire card kit so don’t miss out and if you want to ensure getting your hands on May’s Flavor of the card kit sign up here for a subscription. Kim 🙂
