Hello Everyone! It’s Christine with Pattercrafts here to give you a sneak peek of the Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month June 2019 Card Kit!
I think I tried to squeeze all that is included in this collection onto this card! First I trimmed down 2 of the pattern papers using a stitched rectangle die and a scallop border die from my stash. When using 2 different pattern papers I like to add a little interest between the two patterns. The paper is busy and I didn’t want this turtle to get lost so I grabbed a tag that was laying on my desk from a previous project. The tag was a great excuse to grab the bubble stencil and some Peacock Feather distress ink. This stencil was perfect and I loved the variety of sizes in the bubbles; when I was done with the stenciling, I brushed the edges of the tag with the distress ink. I put the tag aside to dry and stamped out this really cute turtle from the stamp set included in the collection. I used copic markers to color the turtle then used Wink of Stella glitter brush all over the entire image.
To finish my card, I grabbed some twine from my stash to add to the tag – it was also a great way to tie on one of the metal charms. I popped the turtle with some foam adhesive and then used clear Nuvo Crystal Drops to add a little dimension to the spots on the turtle’s shell.
