    • Let’s Celebrate Easter with Chubby Bunny by Sunny Studio

Posted at 9:00 am by Kimberly Smith
      Mar 31st

      Hello Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out what’s up today on The Blog! I have loved Easter since I was little, I can remember digging into my Easter basket as a little one and then having to put it all down to get dressed up to go to the Easter Service and looking at my mom in disbelief that I was going to have leave all of the goodies I JUST found out about!

The love of Easter and bunnies has stuck with me through the years leaving me with a soft spot for cute bunnies and Sunny Studio’s Clear Stamp “Chubby Bunny” have some of the cutest bunnies I think I’ve ever seen!

So here is the journey of the card I made from stamping out the images to having to do a little card surgery but in the end I still arrived with a cute little Easter card I can’t wait to give to somebunny special. (I know, it’s just too precious, I almost can’t stand myself either, lol!)

I stamped out all the images, colored them with Copic Markers and then cut them out using my Scan n’ Cut.

Next I grabbed the “Simply Spring” paper pad by Doodlebug Design. They always do a great job with Spring and Easter paper pads and images.

I got out one of my sets of square dies, these happen to be from Gina Marie and I thought it looked like a picture frame and I liked the idea of being able to stamp my sentiment across the top since it looks like a banner. Once I got everything cut out I glued it down using Lawn Fawn’s adhesive which has quickly become one of my faves. I stamped my sentiment using VersaFine in Black Onyx and also blinged up a few things using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker. Once I got my sentiment in place I added a few silver glossy dots from Pink & Main.

I used a white pen to hit the bunnies’ teeth and then a black gel pen to do their eyes and though I would do one little guys mouth. Then things went awry! My black gel pen just put out much more ink than I was expecting or maybe I pressed too hard and that’s why the calamity began I am still not sure. I just know that I panicked and tried to fix it with my finger and the more I touched things the more things just went worse! That’s when I knew it was time to call up another bunny and put this little guy out of his misery.

The surgery went a lot easier than I expected and I was even able to cover up any paper tears with my new little candidate. I wanted to include this part of the journey and a pic to go with it because I don’t know about y’all but rarely do I make a card without having something that needs to be fixed. I will say I don’t typically lose an entire character but hey, it happens.

In the end it all came together and at least I got to use my favorite little bunny which is the one in the center. The little brown bunny eating a chocolate bunny, this image cracks me up!!! In my head when I see this little guy chowing down on that chocolate bunny all I hear is “Nom, nom, nom, nom!”

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you will get the chance to create today or at least do something that you’ve been wanting to do! Take care and I hope to see you back here soon.

      Keep on Crafting,

      Kim 🙂

    • Sneak Peek March Flavor of the Month Card Kit

      Mar 29th

Hi, it’s Jenn from Scrapbena Creations. Today I am sharing sneak peek from the March 2019 Flavor of the Month Card Kit. I used the new Hooray die by Scrapping For Less that comes in the Banana Split level as part of the sentiment and then a sticker to finish it off to read “Hooray Sweet Baby.” I also used some of the sticker embellishments to make this clean and simple baby card! Perfect when you need a card in a pinch! To finish off the card, I die cut some hearts from my stash and added them around the card to balance out the teal paper used in the sentiment. Don’t forget to set your alarms for the release at 12am EST!

Have a fantastic day and happy crafting! Jenn xO

Good Morning and Happy Thursday fellow crafters! Today I am on the Scrapping for Less blog to share a sneak from the March 2019 Flavor of the Month kit!

When I first decided on my sneak project I wanted to make this card in every color.  However, I realized that not every color is was in my kit 🙁
For awhile I was on a color kick.  I don’t know what the technique is called but you can see I have done it with other stamp sets:

    • March Flavor of the Month Sneak Peak

Posted at 9:00 am by Luci Manos
      Mar 25th

Hi Everyone!  It’s Luci here from My Crazy Craft Life with a Sneak Peek from the March 2019 Flavor of the Month Card Kit!

Today we are celebrating friendship!  You know the ones who love us and put up with us even when we can’t stand ourselves!  Yep those ones!

I wanted this to resemble a scrapbook page with the snapshot of my best friend and me!  I even wrote the date on it just like I would in my scrapbook!  The card is standard A2 size or 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″.  I used a background panel and then added backgrounds to the image and sentiment.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.  I used my crop-a-dile to round out the edges of the sentiment and finished off the card with some sequins!

Can’t wait until this sneak peek so I can give my friend this card!

Be sure to check back each day for a new sneak peek until the big reveal on Friday night/Saturday morning 12:00 am EST!

    • Copic Coloring Young Love by Penny Black

Posted at 9:00 am by infoscrappingforless
      Mar 24th

Hi crafters.  I hope you are having a great weekend getting inky!!.  I am stopping by today with a project using the Young Love stamp set by Penny Black.

This image is adorable and full of so much detail, it is perfect for any level of colorist.  I left the card pretty simple as the image pretty much can carry an entire card on its own.

I colored the image and die cut it out with a stitched square die.  I layered that onto a piece of Kraft Cardstock and created a square card at 5x5.

Be sure to check out the video for tips and tricks on coloring this image.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative and crafty day!

    • Messy Watercolor with Sketched Rose Border by Brutus Monroe

Posted at 10:49 am by infoscrappingforless
      Mar 22nd

Hi fellow crafters and friends.  I am here with a quick and fun card using the Sketched Rose Border stamp set by Brutus Monroe.

I started by stamping the large image twice onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using a waterproof ink.  I scribbled on some color using my Zig Clean Color markers and sprayed the panel with water to let the colors spread.

Once that was dry, I heat embossed by sentiment onto black card stock and popped that up with some foam tape in the center of my card.  I added some shimmer to the flowers and called this one done.

Be sure to check out the video for more information.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative and crafty day!
